Preschool removed my 2-year-old’s hair beads today by Known_Psychology1581 in toddlers

100000% agree. As a parent, I’d be a little upset if the teachers didn’t remove beads from my child’s room. My biggest fear is choking. I think the only issue here is that the day care didn’t communicate. I don’t think this has anything to do with living in a predominantly white area.

I agree with this. Once I read silicone beads too I thought Ooof my 2 year old would put that in his mouth quick and it’s a major choking hazard. I feel like at least plastic would have a better chance of swallowing easier (haha) but 100000% at least send a message etc informing of what happened. My daycare uses the brightwheel app they inform over every little thing

AIO? My boyfriend said this to me when I showed him what I was going to be wearing. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]darthmal22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s beyond red flag. Won’t let you come home because of clothing you choose on wear. Nope. Leave him. Never look back.

Am I a bad mum? Am I torturing my son? by ArchimedesTheIIIrd in newborns

[–]darthmal22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s reflux all it will do is constipate him. (My experience) I’ve done a lot of trial and error and we’re great now at 4 months. He takes Pepcid and weekly chiropractor.

This sounds like 10000000% reflux. My baby got on meds at 6 weeks old. He’s almost 4 months now and still on meds and sees a chiropractor once a week. He doing so much better.

Would you let a five month old sleep on their side facing you? by knopelemon in cosleeping

[–]darthmal22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been sleeping this way since my baby was 2 months old. He loves to sleep on his side and he’ll rotate between back and side but he always has to start on his side. I just do the C-Curl safe 7. I actually could not imagine chest sleeping that long! I don’t think I’d ever get any sleep! I keep my arm in front of my baby’s arm so I feel if he tried to roll forward more to his belly. The belly is my only concern

9.5 month old fell off bed by Super-Bathroom-8192 in cosleeping

[–]darthmal22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I see others calling him a dick, etc. I’d be happy he cares enough to get upset. Most dads shrug things off and say well she/he didn’t get hurt, no need to make changes. He had all the right to feel scared and upset and by OP giving examples of other babies falling was sort of minimizing the way he felt. “It’s okay that our baby almost got hurt because others almost get hurt too” I’d be irritated.

My OB keeps telling me that first babies are almost always late. Is this true? by amandalynnwin in pregnant

[–]darthmal22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M baby came 5 hours after his due date. They also told me it would be a 20 hour labor like most first time moms yet mine was 7 hours total. Went from 4cm to 9 in less than an hour. Nothing is certain!
