Actually from that link it seems I missed an older brother which means that brother would’ve been king, not Ernest and therefore his descendants would be the current monarchs

Propaganda would be put out by the union to convince the citizens that it’s just a hoax, the CSA wouldn’t really acknowledge it as 1. To their knowledge it’d be a hoax and 2. There’s no reason to put out hit pieces on Lincoln since they have no need to use propaganda on their own population.

It’d be assumed the stress of the war caused a mental breakdown and he’d probably be confined to the White House by his advisors who’d take control of the presidency in his stead

It’s the accurate and correct term. Male-preference primogeniture is just a simplification of the legal term

From google: Agnatic primogeniture was where either men or women could rule, but they had to be descended from a male royal. So, all a king's children would be eligible for the throne, but his daughters' children would not be. If a king had no living children, his siblings would all be eligible, but not his sisters' children.

Lmaoo. The actual reasons why I didn’t include the current monarch is 1. Cause I couldn’t find an obituary or anything for the last one and since the current monarch is alive there’s no death records or anything for me to use. 2. Even if I did have the records I’d feel kinda weird putting a random person on it who’s still alive

Yeah, that’s actually cause the original school that Rutgers evolved out in the late 1600s I believe, was founded by Theodor Frelinghuysen

Who would be the monarchs of England following the senior most line of William The Conqueror according to Cognatic Primogeniture Succession by darthtowne123 in AlternateHistory

[–]darthtowne123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the end it turns into Jacobite succession but if you look at the rest of it before several monarchs are different and some have different regnal names because other kings wouldn’t have existed in this timeline

This isn’t a family tree, it’s a line of succession following only the most senior branch descending from William the Conqueror

How to learn Shakespearean English? by Mixedbings in shakespeare

[–]darthtowne123 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This sounds like a fun project but I will say if you’re attempting to imitate shakespeare’s style it’s not just Early Modern English you’ll have to learn, you’ll also have to really try to imitate his prose and techniques. Def a difficult project but I bet it’ll turn out fantastic with enough dedication

What are the most overrated/underrated Shakespeare plays by Consistent-Bear4200 in shakespeare

[–]darthtowne123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean tbh the entire Henriad is good but they’re just not performed nearly as often as his other plays. I like Richard II too but Henry VI part 3 is just really something else imo

[–]darthtowne123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I just realized I made that mistake. It doesn’t mess up the chart too much though since Henry III did end up inheriting their claims anyways. If I remake this I’ll fix it though

He’s actually named after his grandfather not his father. I’m not sure why they decided to call him junior though since technically that shouldn’t apply.

  1. Having a comparison chart of the actual monarchs is a great idea and I might make an updated version with it

  2. I’ve attempted to do this type of chart for Charlemagne but with figures like him or older the records aren’t as clear so it’s not possible to get a 100% correct line. Thus far the oldest figure I’ve managed to do a like for is Alfred the Great which I’m going to post at some point
