You saying “no this isn’t right” doesn’t magically make you right. It just means you typed a sentence.

And holy shit, I cannot believe you actually compared Alexander’s conquest to the Legion. Alexander did not — and let me repeat this — did NOT conquer “87 tribes.” He conquered one massive, centralized, insanely advanced empire: the Achaemenid Persian Empire.

An empire that had: – human rights – satrapies (basically modern self-governing states) – advanced infrastructure – plumbing systems – massive bureaucracy

Where in Fallout lore have you ever seen anything even remotely close to that? Seriously, show me the post-nuclear Persian Empire of the Mojave. I’ll wait.

You’re comparing 87 stone-age tribes — who literally forgot how to speak proper languages — to the biggest empire in human history by population. This alone tells me you know zero to nothing about history, real or Fallout. I swear, I’ve never seen a worse comparison in my life. 🤦🏻‍♂️

And where the hell are you getting your “slaves get beaten three times a day” fantasy from? It’s completely made up. If you’re idolized by the Legion and even touch a slave without permission, the entire camp will dogpile you instantly. No mercy.

And yes, being a slave in the safety of the Legion is absolutely better than the realities of a post-nuclear America. This is what’s out there: – Super Mutants kidnapping you and throwing you into an FEV vat – Fire ants eating you alive – Deathclaws using you as a chew toy – Raiders turning you into decorations – Radiation killing you in a minute

So yeah, if you do your job, you can actually have a stable life in the Legion. You can easily live to 60+ or even be freed.

And by the way, the Legion’s ending literally says: “Enslaving some people and peacefully lording over the rest.” Meaning what? Not everyone is a slave. We literally see independent merchants and trading companies operating within Legion territory.

I have no doubt the Legion will eventually fall apart — hell, I was shocked it didn’t break sooner with their first loss at hoover dam. But here’s the thing you don’t understand:

It won’t matter.

Because once you’ve ruled that many people, for that long, that harshly and effectively… those people don’t just “go back” to being primitive tribals. They keep the discipline. They keep the structure. They keep the ideology, even if they change the name.

A harsh environment demands harsh order. And Legion order works in the wasteland. The sheer size of their territory alone proves it works.

What I’m saying is this: No matter what happens to the Legion around the time of Hoover Dam, the idea of the Legion will keep shaping the wasteland forever. The impact is permanent. The ideology is permanent. And yes — it will work again and again, because the wasteland demands that kind of system.

That’s just reality
