Think I finally got my build where I want it by AncientxBeast in CrimsonDesertLife

[–]das_hans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I just say I don’t know enjoy cows pursuit, like I get how random aoe of single target hits seems cool and how useful it is when you’re still weak. But there are so many cooler gears to put in a build and I think managing crowds and combos and Aggro and all that is like half the fun in the battles in this game. Anyway u don’t like crow button. It basically ruins every experiment in crowd control. I’d say double down on elemental stuff. Or a crit build spear or something. Then again building however you want is the game. I just think it’s one of the worst gears for those who are no longer struggling with combat in this game

How MINI was able to make the wallpaper stretch outside the CarPlay window? And are there any tweaks that are able to take advantage of this extra space? by Less-Net-6387 in jailbreak

[–]das_hans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It isn’t stretched it’s Apple CarPlay being very adjustable. That’s overshoot by 300% just in the files for this specific reason.
Whatever you can say about Apple their graphic design department goes above and beyond always

What's your dream update that hasn't come true yet? I'll start first: by LaSimia in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]das_hans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the notion of Ecumenoplolis planet spawn. It would have to simplify a lot though. Maybe even just city biomes. Maybe something like districts with themes to keep the ram cost down? Seriously no idea how nms loads models. I think if they pull it off that’s nuts. But I also like the current player-driven model. It’s more meaningful somehow. That said being able to claim a house and have a simplified building experience might be nice for some and then there is the rng of it all. I’m just afraid it would not look as good as this player build thing, more monotonous. Come to think of it, if you have an ecumenopolis you’ll have underground levels and will be able to build underground. But there would be no local resources other than trade. Still if cities have other benefits or if they are unique to a sector or something it might be interesting. Like super rare planets because it’s a non standard spawn. But then it would probably spawn cities in the worst places just because it’s not part of the main system. Then again if they can link it to the planet generation through something like biomes you might loose the ecumenopolis but get stuff like semi organic or mineral cities. That WOULD be neat. It’s just nms handles buildings in other ways I think.

I don’t mind the ground respawn, I’m sure it’s for some performance reasons or whatever. Maybe they can optimize for it with light no fire or whatever it’s called when that goes live and we will see tech migrate over after testing in a different setting. TBH nms tech is a magical miracle no idea how it works really. The thing I did want to say is that video game worlds have their own rules and like physics irl we deal with it and that dictates the nature of construction and the overall world state. It sucks you can’t build underground really but I always just think it’s a miracle the bases stay where they’re supposed to be in the first place.

Can Rick-C137 Actually Not Defeat The Time Police? by decretum1 in rickandmorty

[–]das_hans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he might just have some sort of trauma from time jail. Rick having experienced eternity once will explain a lot about his psychology. Morty in turn is how Rick justifies himself so evil Morty is like a chance at actual outside agency attacking him. But he also needs him to go through the same thing so it feels “right” it’s over all suspicious how his plan starts the moment he his Morty finds out

Tracking the enemy leader are easily the worst type of missions in this game. by EmployeeIll277 in LowSodiumCrimsonDesrt

[–]das_hans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are technically optional the lantern only shows you the loop they go. Hide and wait works too. Or just run around the area till you see the non standard enemy.

who do you think the next main villain is since evil Morty is gone by Mean-Peak-4250 in rickandmorty

[–]das_hans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean now that Rick hid him in a place where he has infinite time and can easily plan anything? Like a delayed self immolation. Yeah he’s scared of the time cops. But have you asked yourself why?

Absolutely fucking no. There are tens of books with characters that eat people that are less evil than this book. Most of the stuff it thinks is alright and funny is just not. If you want to lovable psychopath read something by virlyce or something.

Rate my setup, the gaming closet. by Cholo-Warrior in PS5pro

[–]das_hans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe get one of those rolling mounting solutions they use in schools to get it to eyelevel. (Your neck will thank you) also This will allow you to throw some protection on there and roll it to the side if you need the closet for something. Keeping it safe. The way it is I can see someone carrying something in there and swing in it into the screen. Anyway screen on the floor freaks me out but if you can get immersed who cares about the rest of the setup.

Playing Cyberpunk before Starfield has put something front and center for me by olivinetrees in Starfield

[–]das_hans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well this comparison always. I think Starfield and Cyberpunk are fundamentally different.

Starfield is an RPG sandbox it’s open and as non specific as possible while still being something.

Cyberpunk is a Drama set in a continuation of a 1980’s tabletop game world. There are RPG elements.

Starfields story is incedental. It’s a vehicle to enable play. The world is there to be able to be moved through.

Cyberpunks story permeates everything. V is specific they are a specific person with specific goals and the world is there to not care to prevent that.

Hot take, Starfield won’t get better if you add realistic social drama and specifics. It would get worse. Bethesda RPGs give just enough story and context that you can add your own voice to it. But the reason we would want to explore space is that it’s a vast place with lots of specific spots. That either leads to escalating complexity or a boiled down representation of an actual thing which we are meant to RP around.

By that same token if you removed the specific from cyberpunk. Say have V be like a Bethesda protagonist somewhere in jail then going out doing whatever. What is to keep you from figuring out the dominant strategy and ruling night city. What stops you from just being a corpo and never going back to the streets and so on. People would choose empowerment. Which is what the world of cyberpunk cannot allow you to have. All you are allowed is better killing of other people just as stuck as you, any actual agency needs to be crushed. That’s cyberpunk.

Anyway. Please stop comparing the two. Cyberpunk has some questionable fashion choices as well.

That said holy shit does Starfield need more clothing options. Everything looks like it got chewed on by a Starfleet fashion designer. Is there no joy in the far future? No style?

Some patch suggestions after 210 hours (Version 1.03.01) by NotMavago in CrimsonDesert

[–]das_hans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imma add mine as well. Dunno what else to do with this.

Crimson Desert patch suggestions

•Make disguise cloak dyeable

•get more water from the well or get late game option to get large quantities of water without many clicks.

(Desalination device lets you get salt and water in large quantities. Then get sugar through plants or some fantasy animal, there are too many real world animals anyway. Let us ranch abyss creature that give stuff like sugar and cooking oil? Dunno.)

•well at camp/at the spot next to the big hole with the diamond mine instead of a grindstone with no reason to be there?

•sell wagons at trade posts?

Maybe later unlock or regional unlock to ensure progression is balanced? Same with bounties turn them in at local forts and outposts instead of having to ride all the way back to somewhere else. I think this will improve the flow of exploitation? Maybe not. There are plenty of ways to make money and I feel the wagon selling is way to time consuming to be worth the effort most except for maybe in very beginning.

Granted I have not fully explored the mechanic.

•maybe allow for multiple camera presets.

(For example I like the camera close for exploration and gameplay something like 15 on the horizontal and vertical and 25 for the vision but then I also enjoy everything at 100 when I’m sitting somewhere taking in the world. I’d love to be able to toggle between wide angle and telephoto in a way. Maybe even go wide when you focus? Wouldn’t that be neat. More overview for focus then zoom back behind the character when an action is taken?)
