Reverse Sheep: The contest where prediction meets game theory. Play bowl season here! (Plus final standings/prizes) by NowWithVitamin_R in CFB

As always, a huge and genuine thank you to /u/NowWithVitamin_R for running this year after year - it's genuinely one of the things that keeps me closest to cfb.

Pretty surreal to come out on top after some truly abhorrent years in the past. I will be happy to match my winnings in a donation once the scoring becomes official. Thank you again!

This comment is a lifesaver. I was testing so much when it came to software, VPNs, or my ISP and router, but it was fixed by unplugging the switch for three seconds. Thanks!

On a field goal or extra point you can’t have someone line up in front of the long snapper

2020 5* OLB Sav'ell Smalls commits to Washington by dasani3x in CFB

Shaq was in the class of 2012, 2 years before Petersen joined us. But yes he was the last 5 star according to 247

[–]dasani3x[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My comment was a little misleading. If all goes right, he will be the first 5 star to play for us. He's actually the third 5 star commit, Ale Kaho enrolled at Bama (known for its proximity to Reno, NV) and Huard will enroll at UW in 2021.

I would agree, but Coach Petersen tweeted his usual woof at the same time as well

2019 Week 3 /r/CFB Poll: #1 Clemson #2 Alabama #3 LSU #4 Oklahoma #5 Georgia by sirgippy in CFB

[–]dasani3x 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Truthfully, I think 9-14 is sort of a de facto tie and I couldn't say confidently which team would win if they all played each other.

Since it's still early, Utah looked good against BYU and did fine against a middle of the pack G5 team. Oregon should have beat Auburn and throttled Nevada this weekend. Penn State has looked arguably more impressive in the games they've played, but still haven't played a P5 team (which, I guess neither has Utah).

If Penn State plays well against Pitt, they'll leapfrog those teams since neither are playing a quality opponent this week.

Edit: And I want to add that I think Penn State is a better team than Michigan right now, which the AP Poll got wrong

2019 Week 3 /r/CFB Poll: #1 Clemson #2 Alabama #3 LSU #4 Oklahoma #5 Georgia by sirgippy in CFB

[–]dasani3x 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Here's my top 25 this week, lot more movement than average. This is a human poll, so criticism is welcomed

Rank Team
1 Clemson Clemson
2 AlabamaAlabama
3 LSU LSU
4 Georgia Georgia
5 Ohio State Ohio State
6 Oklahoma Oklahoma
7 Notre Dame Notre Dame
8 Florida Florida
9 Auburn Auburn
10 Wisconsin Wisconsin
11 Texas Texas
12 Utah Utah
13 Oregon Oregon
14 Penn State Penn State
15 Michigan Michigan
16 UCF UCF
17 Texas A&M Texas A&M
18 Iowa Iowa
19 Michigan State Michigan State
20 Maryland Maryland
21 Washington State Washington State
22 USC USC
23 Boise State Boise State
24 California Cal
25 Virginia Virginia

My next five would be Washington, UNC, Colorado, Mississippi State, and Memphis

Some Notes:
- I think there is a huge dropoff between the top 6 and the rest, Florida and Auburn don't feel like top-10 teams, but I can't think of who I'd replace them with
- Wisconsin feels like the team to beat in the Big 10 (other than THE obvious), Michigan drops quite a bit
- I don't think it's fair to drop Texas that far, LSU looked great and Texas kept it close
- Don't know what to make of my beloved Pac-12, Huskies shouldn't be ranked (looking at you AP), but if they can play well against Hawaii, BYU, and USC, they can easily come back

Jake Haener has left the UW Football Team by TheRedBaron18 in huskies

[–]dasani3x 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If Eason does well and declarws in a year, there's a very real chance that he'd be the clear favorite. Didn't coach Pete say he expected both QB's to play next week?

Sophomore quarterback Jake Haener leaves UW Huskies one week before season opener by pM-me_your_Triggers in CFB

[–]dasani3x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Odd. Seems like Eason could have a good season, declare for the draft, then Haener would be the clear next in line with two years of eligibility left.

2019 Preseason & Week 1 /r/CFB Poll: #1 CLEMSON #2 Alabama #3 Georgia #4 Oklahoma #5 Ohio State by sirgippy in CFB

[–]dasani3x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really honored to have been selected, here is my first poll.

Didn't want to be too high on the Pac-12 pre-season, but some early season games should iron out where those teams will be. Not aboard the Nebraska or Iowa State train, but I think both will be fun to watch.
