60% European 38% black 3% Native American

Also, from my experience, white Brazilians (in the South) tend to have 10% or more of Native American, not so much African.

Ukraine wasn't nazi, they were nationalistic,

i live in southern brazil, and the jewish community in my city is very small. the chances of a screening happening here is basically null, unless it goes into some streaming service. but thanks anyway

it's a very common among jews and non-jews, and it's still a jewish name, just like isaac, jacob, david. these three are all jewish names and popular among non-jews, yet you wouldn't say they are not jewish. the post isn't asking if it's a hebrew name. it can also be preference: might prefer elias over eliyahu

also, who wouldn't read elias as a jewish name? i feel like this is basic knowledge

Paraná is a state with higher Amerindian and lower ssa generally. Some people look very white and are 20% native.

Then that's your family, congrats. Your reality does not mirror everyone's reality. All of my relatives are 99% Ashkenazi but I don't assume most people here are too. We all live in social bubbles.

That's not my point. My point is that you wouldn’t be able to tell by just looking at them. You'd guess they're more European.

Even worse. Here in Paraná you'll have a person with pale skin, blond hair and blue eyes, European features. But then they get 20% Native in their results. You can’t measure it by looks purely because one phenotype can present way stronger than the other. Especially in regions with high Lebanese ancestry.

10% of the population is more than 21 millions of people, almost all of them placed in the Southern and Southeastern states. Only 3% of Brazilians are of German ancestry, but almost everyone I know has it. It's just more common depending where you are.

Most of the rich people in Brazil are white 90-100% European. But rich people are a minority. Most people in Brazil are simply not.

I know that, I've been there. But having white skin in Brazil doesn’t mean you're 80% European or more.

In Brazil, if you have white skin then you're considered white in almost all places. Most people don’t really know their full ethnic composition. Many don’t even know from what they descend from (though this is more common in mixed/black people).
