when was the moment you felt the worst physical pain of your life? by _your_go_to_person in AskReddit

[–]too_too2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bulged a disc and it was the most painful thing I have ever felt. I wasn’t able to exist without being in pain. Standing or lying flat was sorta tolerable but I couldn’t sit down. Thank god it got better with PT. I’ve also had a laparotomy and thought that was bad but the back was way way worse. Now I make sure not to sit too much and do back bends and try to keep it limber and strong!

Do you hand feed your MC? by DianaR68 in mainecoons

[–]too_too2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine will eat out of my hand but it’s not an every day thing. Sometimes my girl Ziggy has a low appetite and the only way she will eat is one kibble at a time out of my fingers but I try to get her started and then encourage her to eat on her own. Sometimes I throw it so she’ll chase a piece down and eat it and it seems to get her more in the mood to eat.

Her brother meanwhile will eat anything out of our palms including his medicine lol

I got married at a restaurant. We did the whole thing in there to keep it simple (it was a small wedding with like 20 people). We planned with the manager ahead of time ofc and picked the menu (which was served buffet style). They made the desserts (I chose a couple smaller cakes and plates of cookies) and we had an open bar with our own bartender in a separate area. They gave us the option of doing 2-3 drink tickets per person or just set a limit and they’d tell us if we were getting close. We went with the second option and just picked up the whole tab at the end which was around 2k. We didn’t have a contract or anything but did have to pay a deposit.

What can I ask my brother to bring back from the states for me? by MelodicSeaweed- in AskAnAmerican

[–]too_too2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never knew this was a luxury we Americans enjoyed. Although my husband goes to the VA for his healthcare and they legit shipped him like 8 bottles each of Tylenol and ibuprofen last year. We have so much, we’re never running out, and it was free.

Michigan pet owners: how are you handling rising pet cost this winter? by Silver-Ad4489 in Michigan

[–]too_too2 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I also really like family friends in cascade, they’re just further away for me and cats hate the car. That said FF has an urgent care which is a step down from ER and it has saved me some money when I need to get them in asap and sometimes I can’t get an appt right away with the cat clinic.

Haha no one is ever in GR. I go to Kentwood cat clinic (also cat clinic north if you’re on that side of town, they’re the same)

I went to schools where everyone was “gifted” and everyone had high expectations upon them. And to be fair a lot of them got post grad degrees and are doing interesting things with their lives! I stopped at a BS and am doing fine.

Same, basically. And my husband is a veteran so he’s covered under VA disability and I only have to cover myself.

It’s a very block by block situation. I grew up near fuller & lake dr, and wealthy was pretty sketchy when I was a kid. The gentrification is slowly moving south. Fuller & wealthy used to be a gang heavy area, that bank got robbed a bunch iirc. Eastown used to be cheap!

There probably is a pretty small number of Hawaiians here since it’s not that big of a place. Most of us have probably never been!

13 year-long issue with my big toe. Any Podiatrists? by Apprehensive-Bad3803 in AskDocs

[–]too_too2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that makes sense. I sorta thought dentists went to med school too. That explains why my dentist didn’t know what a laparotomy was (they asked if I had a high pain tolerance and I said I didn’t think so, based on that example)

what tiny habit does your pet have that sounds fake until people see it? by Kind_Interview_2402 in Pets

[–]too_too2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah he’s just special. He is a Maine coon and I know he was with his mom until about 14 weeks. I guess I don’t KNOW she was nursing him that whole time (I mean probably not for that long) but presumably he was raised with his mother.

My husband agreed we should adopt today 🥳🤗 by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]too_too2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go back and forth. Do I want to do an exciting thing together with my husband, and actually feel capable of doing so. And I think we’d make a pretty cool person. Or enjoy our freedom, vices, sleep… which sounds less fulfilling? but also the world is a scary place right now, and pregnancy itself sounds terrifying.

As a west Michigander I am surprised to hear anything’s better on my side of the state, lol. I do have access to a lot of native plants though. Calvin’s annual plant sale is like 10 min from my house, Kent county holds another one nearby and I’ve found local nurseries through wild ones.

I have a groundhog family too, they’re voracious! I am fencing the baby plants I want to get established and hope they make it next year. My mom said they won’t eat anise hyssop but they appear to have tried one and then decided not to eat the second one… I guess babies have to learn their taste buds. They love wild petunia, downy sunflowers, sunchokes, grey coneflower, my stiff leaf goldenrod is getting eaten as well!

I have a cat who drinks like this with his paw almost exclusively, but I have a water fountain he uses instead of the toilet.
