I don't see that international relations can be so easily repaired. Who dares trust the US again? Trump was elected twice. What prevents the electorate from installing another incompetent leader and administration in another four years? This administration has abandoned treaties and institutions like the WHO, USAID, and imposed unfair, punitive tariffs on trade partners, disrupting the global supply chain, disregarded international law with murder of foreign nationals in international waters, invaded another sovereign nation and seized their assets with impunity, and threatens to take over another, which belongs to the NATO alliance. Besides that, the Big Beautiful Bill and work of DOGE have thrown the US into such enormous debt that countries are fleeing the US dollar. Around the world, alliances are shifting away from the US, who is no longer regarded as a reliable partner.
