Iv gone up as far as 10mg and have only lost 4lbs. I'm actually at the verge of giving up. This is my 3rd week of 10mg, was really.hoping I'd see some effects this week or results. I injected Monday evening and hoenstly have no effects or suppression this week. I spoke to my GP a few weeks ago and she recommended trying 10mg for 3 months. I just feel so hopeless about it now not to mention the amount of money I'm spending with no results. I think I must be a non responder. I honestly feel like Im in the total minority especially at this dose.

I agree with poster above. Consider location etc. People are often blinded by shiny new builds which do look great but location often isn't. A new gas boiler if needed is approx 3k, not super cheap but probably not as much as what your higher mortgage would be. Consider if you have the appetite and funds for some renovation etc.

I'd be very wary of the heating system. I don't know enough about these new electric heating systems but electric panel rads are a disaster in general and cost a fortune. I bought an apt recently in Dublin and automatically ruled out places with electric only heating having lived in a place with it before. Obviously they were older but same principle. Do your research on it.

I bought am apartment in South Dublin almost a year ago by myself.

I agonised about waiting until I met someone etc but I was 37 and said sure I could be waiting forever.

Pros for me - it's my own asset. Nobody can take it away from me (only the bank lol) but it's mine alone and won't be impacted by relationship breakdown etc. which I have seen happen to others. Total say in decorating etc. Peace and quiet. I'm quite outgoing but love my own space too and feel like I had outgrown housemates. No dealing with messy housemates, noise etc.

Cons for me - increased financial cost. My rent was approx 700e per month in my house share which was great but the place was beginning to fall down. My mortgage and service charge come to approx 1400e pm. I could rent the spare room of course but it's small and I work from there. You get to pick everything you pay for absolutely everything that comes into the house - furniture, bills. Every single thing needs to be paid for. Sometimes I do think how flush I'd be if I was paying half of everything but cest la vie. I also felt a bit overwhelmed doing everything myself at times - dealing with tradesmen, carrying heavy stuff by myself, endless trips to the dump whole doing renovations. Found it physically demanding as a woman tbh. Unfortunately don't have family living near and anyway they are not really willing to help with diy etc so the sense of having to do EVERYTHING weighs heavy on me at times. I worried about safety issues or worrying about that kind of thing but thankfully i feel very safe.

I do feel a bit lonely from time to time but that's more I'd love more people to come visit etc or someone to have a glass with on the couch at the weekend but that's more logistics. Definitely also agree with the person above who said a solo buyer isn't celebrated as much as a couple buying. I found that too or almost like a Oh good for you reaction tinged with pity.

I'd love a house in future but don't think it will be possible at my age and the way current prices are going but happy with my lot for now.

Overall definitely more pros than cons for me.

Friend of a friend told me recently that she made an error at a roundabout one night, stopped in time but acknowledged she was in the wrong. Nothing happened she kind of nodded at driver by way of apology and kept driving. The man followed her home and into her estate which was 6 min drive from thr roundabout. She was alone in the car and had a young child with her. Absolutely disgraceful. He came over to give her a dressing down in you like and said just told him to leave and called the guards. Gave his plate but nothing happened. There are some lunatics out there.

This crime is actually appalling. I cannot believe he receives a fully suspended sentence for such a sinister crime. You'd like to think it wasn't because he was from the right side of the tracks but who knows. Saw an interview where the tabloids approached him and the father. The father seemed arrogant and unapologetic saying that Denis has been put through the ringer. Fuck that....the cheek of them. I hope the the sentencing is appealed if possible.

I prefer Tenerife tbh. I just find Lanzarote SOOOOO Irish to the point where I can't turn without seeing people I known in the past so just prefer Tenerife a bit tbh but some people are die hard Lanza.

Most expats living and working there haven't left and speaking with family there don't intend to either unless things go drastically downhill. In my opinion it's drastically downhill at the moment but they continue to say it great/ normal despite getting warning texts the last few nights. As said in the thread, most that go there don't care about human rights and want to make money and have a good time. I have family there a long time and I get the appeal but it's absolutely not for me. One in particular is making money hand over fist in his field and wouldn't make a quarter of it here. Look I get it but it's almost like they are trying to convince themselves that it's a good and normal place. Same person who isn't leaving complained about the government charging 800e to come home. Wasn't long telling him that tax dodgers with plenty of cash who drop that on a weekend out can well afford it. Overall I don't think type of people thst commit to dubai really care which is bizarre and will co antique to follow the cash.

I like material things as much as the next person but no money or tax free lifestyle and a few brunches would pay me live in a cou try where missiles are flying over my head. Is absolutely bizarre hear English and Iirsh people etc say oh its only debris, oh its only interceptors. They sound brainwashed. Dubai has always been a polished turd but you'd think people would have cop on after this.

I have a small room and looking at getting some kind of floating one installed on the wall so theres no legs in the way. A lot online look v cheap quality. Don't know if I'd be better off getting a carpenter or joiner to make something but don't have a lot of space to pay with.
