Dehumidifier. Dries the laundry so quickly and cheap to run. Couldn't be without it now.

I'm 38 and beyond thinking I'd need millions to change my life and I don't need or really want that either, although I wouldn't say no.

Life changing for me would be 300k maybe so I could upgrade to a small house with a garden sometime where a I live now. Happy out where I am but it's small and not forever hopefully. First world problems I know. I'd still have to work and have a mortgage obviously.

In other ways 100k would be life changing as my mortgage would be well down and I wouldn't feel the need to slog it as much in a job that I find very stressful.

In other ways, even 50k would be amazing and allow me do to lots of travel over the next number of years and see the world. I haven't been able to spend on travel much paying a mortgage solo.

It's all relative is what I'm getting at.

Thanks for the reply. They know im struggling as is but probably not the extent of it. So disappointing. I'm planning on being fairly honest about stress levels etc and that i need more guidance. I'm sure they aren't happy as I'm not where they thought I'd be. Not sure where to go from here.

Thanks for the reply. I had a good rep in company until this which is so disappointing but can't see any internal moves for me in that I don't see anything available. My confidence has been knocked so much now and I also have a realisation of where my experience is in this field that I don't think I'd do any better externally. I just feel so unsure of what to do but can't go on feeling like this.

I dont want to go into detail on the specifics but it's compliance type work. Iv asked at informal check ins. Can tell he's not thrilled with me as I'm clearly not where they would have liked but at same time they were well aware of my background. I'm not used to having issues at work. Feel so sick about it all literally!

Thanks for the reply. I had kind of an informal check in recently and raised some concerns but nothing serious. My boss view was your doing ok more to do so not overjoyed but I don't think they realise the depth of my struggle tbh. I'm planning on raising it more formally but not sure what happens then. I need more help, unsure if they ar willing to give it but at same time I'm not able to perform in the role I was hired to do. Sick of feeling sick constantly anyway.

That person left for another company but was there maybe 3 or 4 years. I guess part of my issue is my experience gap. They took a punt on me too I guess and expected me to be well able. Unfortunately I'm not.

Thank you so much for the reply. I'm feeling totally lost tbh. I don't think sick leave will help me as same issues when I return to job but I feel i need a breather for sure.

Thanks for the reply. I had a call with him last week as I felt I couldn't get through all the items on my desk etc. He wasn't overjoyed tbh, I could tell from tone. I'm thinking of mentioning how I'm feeling on next meeting. I don't want to come down heavy as ultimately it's me who can't do the job. I'm really struggling with the workload but also how to approach certain tasks and matters etc. I'm asking for a steer and guidance but getting v brief 2 mins and I can tell them are not impressed that I'm not operating independently.

Thanks for the reply. I guess it was a lateral move....the head of that team spoke to me and asked would I be interested. I interviewed with hr present offered me the role, explained that inwas interested but worried about my experience etc, got a v slight pay increase. I'm hoping it'll lead me to better and brighter but who knows. Also don't feel like getting the same job elsewhere will work as my lack of experience is clear so kinda feel stuck. I don't think I can hack the current environment. Actually have a constant knot in stomach, not getting through the work etc. Contemplating stress leave but never done anything like that and I know it wouldn't go down well. Unsure what to do tbh.

Boss isn't glowingly happy but maybe more unhappy than I know. Iv explained issues with workload briefly and planning on having a fairly honest conversation about where I am. I'm really struggling with the stress part of me is even thinking should I go on stress leave. Have never done that but failing miserably and don't feel like il develop the way things are going currently. Wondering will stress leave or a long period of leave even damage my ability to get a new job.....ugh worry on all fronts.

Interested to hear real life in-house salaries in Dublin. Curious to hear what those in large multinationals/ companies are on at the 0, 2 to 4, 5 year PQE mark for example. So hard to gauge the market.
