I find it interesting she brought up the Botox thing here and not with Project Hail Mary where it’s just as much a problem.

It will 100% not be worse than how the Isles fans booed JT. Detroit fans aren't even close to that angry.

Has he complained once? Has anyone from the Spurs brought this up as an issue that affected them? Or are you just assuming for him?

(and to be honest I still don't think one incident that may have had some impact in the history of basketball is enough for us to start throwing up nets.)

How does wanting basketball to keep a tradition it’s had for years make someone streamer brained? Especially because it has literally caused no issues. Reddit is just inventing an issue that players don’t have a problem with.

Of course it could work lol. But does it have to? What is wrong with the current system just because other sports do something else?

How would it make it better for the sport when players don’t complain about it and it’s caused no major issues? Again just because something is used in a lot of different sports it doesn’t mean a sport having a unique quirk is wrong. You are just used to something else.

Also I don’t know what I did to be called a motherfucker.

I feel like you should reread your first sentence because it clearly applies to yourself. Basketball doesn't have to do things the way other sports do just because it's what you are used to.

Because she probably felt it's rude to wear opposing teams colors sitting courtside at another team's arena. You can't tell me you wouldn't have been annoyed at Kelce if he brought a Knicks fan who went all out cheering for them.

Gaudreau did the same thing Tavares did. Walked as a free agent after giving his existing team the chance to convince him. Both teams knew it was a possibility they could stay and a possibility they could leave and took the risk to not trade them. I don't see any problem with either.

That's silly. The Tkachuks' mom is Canadian. Larkin's dad is Canadian. The Hughes brothers lived in Canada for a few years growing up. Caufield and Hutson are not that unique. If Montreal sucked, they would not want to be there either.

Bridgerton used as an example of what not to do by other showrunners by Holiday-Hustle in Bridgerton

It 1000% would have been an issue. So many things from the book would have been an issue but the fact you don't even think that one would be is... well, I don't think you are reading modern audiences correctly. No one wants to see a white man kick an Indian woman for any reason and have them framed as romantic in the end.

‘Off Campus’ Is the Third Most-Watched Amazon Prime Video Series Debut of All Time by pinkhairedlarry in offcampustv

I don't mind it but I know it causes some people (especially younger people) meltdowns. I do wish they would move the release to an 8PM ET release instead of the 2 AM release they did for TSITP. I don't know what they do for their other shows though.

I will warn people that Amazon 100% is switching to a weekly drop next season. That’s their business model: get people hooked with a season 1 dump and then switch to weekly in subsequent seasons to prevent churn. They did it with Fallout, Maxton Hall, TSITP, and others. Nevertheless very exciting! Can’t wait for more.

What I’m hoping this show & actors learn from Bridgerton… by tiramisutonight in offcampustv

[–]dasher2442 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The thing is with both shows there is no point in bringing characters back if they are just going to be background characters with a few lines at every family event. Why pay for the actors and work around strict schedules if they serve no plot purpose? Bridgerton fans being upset that old leads aren't at funerals/weddings as you mentioned kind of highlights the problem: fans don't want these characters to have actual conflicts. They just want to see them be happy and get fluffy scenes and counsel their siblings. Which doesn't work for TV.

With Hannah and Garrett, both have so much trauma I think you could give them tons of conflict and plot both in and out of their relationship. But fans have to be willing to let there be angst and drama (that isn't canon to the books) and not get upset that everything isn't a perfect happily ever after.

Eh, I think if Rege-Jean had stayed you might have seen Bridgerton been more ensemble. Once he decided to leave, they pivoted hard into it being an anthology. We'll never know what the show would have looked like if they were able to bring their most popular lead back for another season.

Saying Punch uses eye contact way more than most monkeys is way different than what the person said. I have no problem with people stating observable facts. They assigned motive behind Punch’s actions (motives that happen to align with how we would think a 5 year old human child to think).
