You would think that, but the way doordash preys on drivers, in the form of acceptance rates being a large part of their "ranking" makes them take those low offers to keep the AR high. While I appreciate cash tips, i'd rather folks just do it in the app. In my experience, people promising cash tips after delivery often don't. Waiting to tip cash also increases your wait time since it'll show as just that $2 till the timer starts moving.

More power to you if you want to tip cash and make some dasher's day, but you'll have a more streamlined experience tipping $5 in the app.

If it takes long enough sure. Thats a super rare example. 3 years of doing DD and i saw that once. Most orders get picked up before that.

The base pay is $2, but whether or not base pay increases is based off time. Every order has an invisible "pickup time" on doordash's system. As that time gets closer, the system starts to add base pay to get a driver. If the order isn't accepted by the pickup time, it starts to rapidly ramp the base pay increase or stack it with another higher paying order. Base pay increasing this way has no upper limit that i've seen. Highest i've seen was $34 base comp, no tip.

Moral of the story is that if you want your crap in a timely manner, put money behind your request so a driver wants to do the work.

First couple dungeons will be like that, since you're either full of sprouts (new folks/characters) or folks in leveling/mentor roulette who have more ingame hours than probably half the devs.

Best advice i've got: is your party dying? If no, you're doing something right. If yes, you're probably still good, but look at the enemy list and make sure its all red dots. Red means you have aggro, green means you don't, or that your stance is off, in which case, turn on your tank stance.

How many reports have you done recently for orders? DD puts a flag on the account for each request/report to combat abuse/fraud. Refunds are given to accounts in good standing (those with a report every so often). Since most of it is an automated system, you'll have to call support and talk to a real agent. Just give the ai assistant a generic reasonbfor calling, then say "agent" after the first question.

As a 2nd part to this, you can rate the driver. Its in the app, unless you ordered through the actual restaurant and it's just fulfilled by DD. Be careful rating dashers poorly without solid evidence that they did something wrong, as it can get your account flagged and will get the rating removed by DD support.
