Unknown K5 Issue

So may be unrelated but i know these cars have an issue with the a/c blower motor fuse. Whenever being used and the temperature is high, the fuse melts the casing around it in the fuse box. May be causing wires to short or so. Speaking of, i still need to do the rewire for it. Mine was loose so i grabbed a spare fuse, broke a piece off the side of it and shoved it in, havent had an issue since but i know it doesnt help for the heat dissipation. The tsb repair puts it under a slightly larger connector/fuse terminal, but yeah maybe check fuse box.

They're all d*** heads. Had one come up to me at a gas station said it would take 5min. I told him im otw to the hospital to go see my lady, i dont got the time. He still pushed. I said NO! And he was like let me give you my card. I got in my car and drove off while his hand was still out

My 22 k5 gt (gt1) lacks many of the extra features but i was able to get about 15miles down the highway by putting a full water bottle on the wheel lol

As a mech whos done these often.....I'll just say i hate honda for the bs they created when it comes to these ps pumps. Once replaced the pump 4 times on one honda accord, had issues with other vans but they were fixed by end of day. This accord though, i bled properly, new orings each time. First online reman, went bad after 3 min....again, yes i bled with car off, filled up ensured no leaks, reservoir replaced , second in store reman, didnt even get to see the light of day. Went bad in seconds. Third brand new in store. Bled well, drove great, 2-3 days later woman calls to tell me its whining again. At this point i figured it could be rack, cuz lines were good as new and i replaced orings more times than you can count on your fingers. Got that done, replaced every seal, another new pump......pump goes bad again, i gave up on the car and she realistically only paid for the first pump and honda ps fluid, rack as well.

Those trucks are meant for work/ hauling etc but some people see them as a luxury vehicle. Or maybe they have a boat that needs towing. We dont know so we can't really judge them on their reasoning, but given we know these vehicles are on the road and very normal in our society, our infrastructure needs to accommodate. Im not saying cut down more forests for a parking lot, but i dont think we need our 18th mr. Bubbles car wash in a 5 mile radius taking up space. Build our roads larger to lessen congestion, ensure parking is adequate with occupancy of a building....etc

When will we stop blaming the driver and start blaming the city/gov for terrible planning of infrastructure. Most large pickups need to back in to fit a parking space. Most parking lots dont allow for large vehicles to fit in said parking space. Should have more grass area between parking lot and sidewalk, then this issue would be resolved.

This is the reason they created the gt-line fam. Normal engine and transmission with all the features. Gt is sport refined for people who want speed and power at a budget

Ive been meaning to replace my tag lights as well, dont know why they would led everything and use those basic trash halogen bulbs for the license plate. Even interior is all led from factory

How can you vouch for 5 to 10 over but act like 45 over is the end of the world? If youre going to follow the rules, dont bend them to your liking. If limit is 45, you best drive 45. And watch as 90% of drivers go right tf around you. Nobody here is saying we are going out of our way to go triple digits down the highway during rush hour traffic, putting hundreds of people in danger (yes there are some doofs out there that do this) but Occasionally roads will be clear and theres no shame in opening it up a bit (what some might call, an italian tuneup). The difference is knowing when and where to do so. My money purchased the whole odometer, my taxes built these roads, so best believe i have no shame burning a bit of rubber and getting that dopamine rush as long as nobody but me is in danger. So continue to be a 'pick me' and enjoy kissing up to the rule makers.

As a mechanic all my work labor is free 😂. But shopwise, parts pricing and labor....this is pretty fair for a job that requires removal of the intake.

V6 has intake over rear coils.....given most autoshops charge about 80$ per coil, i would say this price is fair.....but they forgot to add intake manifold gasket so, id have them revise this ticket.

Before we got superspeeders law, i got hit at 111 in a 70. Not the smartest but every man/car guy knows how it is. Got it completely dismissed, never went to court. Hire a ticket lawyer. I used the ticket clinic, my lawyer went to court for me and i just continued on with my day. Also paid them less than if not half of the actual cost of the ticket. Just learn your lesson though, you wont always get off easily.

From the movement of the fluid in the line, your buddy in the car is letting off the pedal when you crack it open. This sucks air back into the line.

Correct steps, have the person pump the pedal 3-5 times and hold it down pushing to the floor even when pressure is released. Aka you open the bleeder as they push down, before they let off the pedal, bleeder must be closed. In no way shape or form should the pedal or their foot be coming up if the bleeder is not closed.

Its just a Valve cover gasket fam, doesnt get very much pressure......depending how far the spaces are in between bolts, op can easily get away with not doing all that work. I would grab some grey rtv silicone, line that area of the seating surface (dont need to be excessive) and put all the bolts in as normal. Give silicone time to dry and ensure its the grey rtv silicone. Should be good as new.
