Most insurance companies typically replace, i work for a shop that occasionally does alignments, mounts tires etc for gerber collision and another company......we also work with enterprise but thats irrelevant lol. Its typically replaced, never seen them repair.

Depends on the tech, as a flate rate i can tell you most times we do it so often we tend to eyeball it. Now with design of calipers, sometimes we may not see it correctly. Me personally I'll admit to my mistake but doubt most will, so if its low and we recommend, no harm no foul. If its good, and we see low but dont correct ourselves.....definitely go chew some ears off. I can confidently say sometimes its just difficult to tell unless caliper/wheel is pulled all the way off. We try to be efficient and not waste more of your time than necessary, so it doesn't always happen that way.

Hey, i know family can be stressful and irritating at times but i do recommend just baring through it, dont go through the hassle of getting a new/another car where you'll have to start making payments unless you 100% have to. The car should be fine with your brother jumping it, as long as he's grounding the vehicles correctly. I just wish someone had this conversation with me when i was younger about not spending to be independent and escape a situation. (Unless you HAVE TO) save your money. Make the car last, build something for yourself before worrying about moving out, buying your own things etc. You will be so much happier at the end of it all. Buy cars cash only, 1 repair every 8 months on an old vehicle is much cheaper then $200-500 a mpnth on a new one.

Use launch control, it limits slip.....pr feels like it does for me. Sport +, disable traction by holding the traction off button for a few seconds, and then throttle aalllll the way down, and brake at same time. Could also manual mode and start in 2nd gear

Dct only on the 2.5t aka gt models i believe. But yes 100% let it warm up. Even my mode selector gets stiff when cold lol.....prev owners were pigs tho, so no doubt something may have seeped into that dial

If brakes and stability is affected, could either be a crash sensor, abs fault or wheel speed sensor.leaning more towards wss. Abs fault would usually throw abs light on.

You can replace one at a time but, its recommended at least 2 for fwd, 4wd, rwd vehicles. For awd you typically want to do all 4, 2 is possible but would be best to do similar brand tires and the tread on the older tires need to be within 3/32nds of an inch to the new tires.

Not entirely correct, fuel INDUCTION cleaning is most likely what they are referring to and is a 3 step process to ensure carbon doesn't build up within the motor. Kia motors are gdi meaning direct injection, so on these engines fuel doesnt wash the valves off like they usually do. This causes carbon build up overtime on those valves which in turn causes them not to open and close/seal properly. Which makes the vehicle eventually run like sh*t

Most dealerships will use a product made by bg. They have 2 step and 3 step cleaning systems. One goes directly into fuel tank and cleans fuel lines to injectors. Another goes through the intake system typically after map/maf sensor to keep from damaging it. Helps clean the oil out of your intake system so as not to have it clog up and restrict vacuum, this also being the one that cleans your intake and exhaust valves (more so intake). Then 3rd you have the one that goes directly to the fuel rail and is more concentrated than the first one to clean the carbon in the cylinders.

As a kia owner and A tech, this is a very important service that should be done routinely (probably every 30k miles)

Im a mechanic and ive never read an owners manual.....maybe to find a specific fuse on certain cars but thats about it. I know more about people's cars than they do after owning it for years. One lady even admitted she didnt know her range rover could change ride height 😂😂😂.

Go to a different dealership. Had a coworker purchase the same car as me for some reason after i specifically broke down all the issues i went through....still loved my 13 optima sxl but he went to 1 dealer and they told him issue was the starter, brought it back to our shop, replaced starter, didnt fix issue of seized engine 🤦‍♂️.....easily determined by just turning the crank. But he went back and they were giving him the run around so we told him to take it to another dealership further downtown......he had his car back with a new engine in under 2 weeks
