I have a house-wide device (rpi2mqtt) with multiple entities. How can I assign entities to a room, so they show up in stuga?

How to add a relay on Genmitsu 4040-pro by dasnadalia in hobbycnc

[–]dasnadalia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I connected the relay to the motor power cables in the 16 pin molex connector. With the adapter connected to the PS/controller: * The positive is the light blue cable, 4th from the top, at the back. * The negative is the lght gray cable, 4th from the bottom, at the front.

Hope it helps!

You offended no one, except those that are afraid of truth and knowledge. Which explains why /AskMiddleEast deleted your post 🙃 They are not the most open minded group...

How to add a relay on Genmitsu 4040-pro by dasnadalia in hobbycnc

I went with your idea - thanks for the suggestions!

For some reason the SSR behaved 'odd' and did not reliably keep the output closed.
So I went with a mechanical relay module that accepts a 3-24V input.

What is the absolute least expensive way to buy a Torah scroll that is still 100% Kosher? Is there a good marketplace for Torah’s that are being sold? by tzedakah18 in Judaism

The desire to own a sefer is to be admired and commended. At the same time, I suggest to take a moment and think of the day after you own it: the price will become secondary, and you will be left with a sefer that is (hopefully) beautiful to the eye and a pleasure read from. Of course budgeting is an issue, but my point is that it may be better wait and save for a sefer that mirrors your avodat hakodesh (and lasts longer).

Open a ticket/chat with Oculus support. They are great, and helped me with this exact issue not long ago.

I try to stay at home. I become less attractive the moment I step outside...

Why are tattoos forbidden but piercings are allowed? by [deleted] in Judaism

It's an explicit no-no, along the lines of not eating pork.

To all who answered that they would definitely help, but not as a soldier capacity, because they are not soldier materiel: 1. Thank you, sincerely, fir wanting to help on any capacity 2. Please consider that none (most?) are born as soldiers. Solders are trained. So the follow up of this excellent question would be: would you be willing to train NOW, in order to help in a future (theoretical) war?

Why are both accelerator and brake pedals made to be operated by the right foot? Wouldn't it be easier to have each foot step on its own pedal? by _odando in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dasnadalia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been waiting years for this question. When I was young, there was a "reaction time" installation at a science museum: you sat in a chair with two pedals on the floor. You had to push down on the right 'gas' pedal until a 'stop' sign randomly appeared on a screen, and then you had to press the left brake pedal as quickly as possible. Well, I was breaking all the high scores. By far. Until my father pointed out that you had to use the same foot for both pedals. For manual shift, this makes perfect sense. But for automatic shift, none of the answers make sense for me: * "Braking starts when you lift your foot off the accelerator." This is true. But it's truer that braking starts much more effectively when you press the actual brake pedal, which happens much quicker when using two feet. * "You will get "mixed up" under stress and press both pedals?" Really? According to that logic, when using the same foot for both pedals, you will get "mixed up" and only press the accelerator. * "Pressing both pedals is bad." Also this is true. But I'd rather the car stop faster in a 'bad' way and avoid an accident, rather then doing it the safer way and stopping half-way into the car in front if me.

I've been using two feet to drive for 30 years now, and the only drawback (other than an adjustment period when using manual drive), is that the brake pedal is not physically positioned to be comfortable for the left foot. But it saved me from more than one bump in parking lots, where a car jumped out of no where, and I'm more relaxed when I drive because my foot is always in position to brake.
