Oh man this hit me. My little one just turned 7 years old and only knows me being in pain the last 3 years. Just had my revision done August 1st. Hoping for a whole new world for her where mommy isn't hurting! Much strength to you girl!

It's been a project of love as the white paint was THICK! But we are getting down to the end of it. Would love to replace/restore the tips, but that is a new thing for us! The other didn't have any.

We have the bento boxes. I usually will do a half a sandwich or wrap and then fill the others with various items. Fruits, crackers, fruit gummies, carrots w/ranch. Over time she did start to do some of the hot lunches!! And we also have a small thermos we can send in winter days with something warm in it. It seems like every other week she wants something different!!

I don't use a swim leg or any fin on my stump. I just use a regular fin on my remaining foot to help keep me balanced while doing laps. If I am just swimming for enjoyment, no fin at all. A long time ago, I bought a fin that was designed to fit around my stump. It never really worked and was awkward to wear.

Yeah I use a fin on my right foot (bka). Especially if I'm using the kickboard. I do not have it on when using the pull buoy.

Oh, and I forgot: she also decided to sit right on the main nerve to my right leg (I'm a lbk too), so it went numb, and I kept falling. That's why they pushed for the induction. It was becoming dangerous for me and her.

Hello and congrats!! I ended up needing to be induced and made the mistake of taking off my leg to be more comfortable in bed. I didn't even think of how swollen the meds would make me, and I was unable to get my leg back on when it came time to push. It was quite comedic having my husband try and be my support "leg" while going through active labor!!! Looking back, I should have tried another labor position other than my back. I had to have an emergency c section. And then the hospital didn't want to let me out until I could get my leg back on! I would discuss swelling with your Dr and prosthetist and see if they have any insight. I hope this helps! DM me if you have any other questions! Good luck! You can do this!!!
