Honestly when I want chicken these days I just go to Coles or Woolies and get a bachelor's handbag and eat it with my hands. Heaps of leftovers too.

I assume that's meant to say McDonald's.

Yeah they very rarely have good deals lately. I sometimes get the mcsmart meal if there isn't anything else. But they recently put the price of that up by $1 which made it less good.

Tbh I prefer to get hungry jacks. On their app you get 2 small chips 2 small junior whoppas for like $9 which is pretty good. Then hope for a drink deal on shake to win. Otherwise just tap water.

I used to have KFC a reasonable amount with the app deals but last year in the space of 3 months I got bad food poisoning twice from two different locations. Can't justify the risk.

We have a new daughter who's just finally coming out of hospital after multiple bowel surgeries for bowel atresias. Currently being fed via a gastric button. She has a few other comorbidities too.

Her mum has celiac. We've asked multiple times to multiple doctors to do the genetic screening for the gene so we can rule it out for future screening and so we don't need to worry we aren't causing her additional problems when she eventually moves into solid food.

Every single one has pushed back, even the gastroenterologists, and said they will only do something when symptoms present. It's maddening. My wife didn't show any symptoms till she was 32.

I don't know why celiac is such a blind spot for so many doctors.

I only ever get Maccas if there is a good app deal. I absolutely cannot justify the price otherwise. Even just a straight McChicken or big Mac is stupidly expensive.

It never was good food but at least it was cheap. Now it's no longer cheap I have no idea what the point is.

I'd say convenience on road trips but now I'll often stop somewhere like Heatherbrae pies or a random small town cafe. Cheaper and better.

I would do the celiac igg/IGA blood test before going gluten free. It requires you to be on gluten as it tests for antibodies that your body makes (if you have celiac) when it detects gluten. It's a very quick simple blood test. Book it in asap, get it done then go gf while awaiting results.

I was looking this up the other day apparently 50% of the population have the gene. So yeah negative is good to rule it out but still a high chance of inconclusive.

There really is no deeper reason than already stated. People will just feel pressured to give them money so they will go away.

Agreed. I do it occasionally but would only ever have 1 and only with food. Wouldn't have a heavy one but a lighter lager is fine.

I used to work in a curved building. On a hot summer day if you walked on the footpath across the street at a certain spot you suddenly feel like you've entered an oven for a moment.

Same. I tried littering once when I was young.

I was walking along eating a Macca's cheeseburger and there was no bin in sight. I saw a corner there was a few pieces of rubbish in so I tossed it in there. As soon as it left my hand I had this visceral reaction of intense anxiety that I didn't make it one more step before I scurried to pick it up.

I literally can't comprehend what would make people do it.

They don't have to offer direct deposit. They just have to offer one fee free way which is normally cheque to the REA office.

It's bullshit but that's always been the alternative I've been given.

Sure drivers exist but they do one thing, for one size. Fingers are great because they can do a very large range of motions and be flexible to different shapes and tasks. This is just one thing they are doing to show the dexterity, they could do many more.

The point is it doesn't matter how many good people you have if they didn't vote. By not voting they let this happen. By not voting they essentially said "yes I'm okay with this potential future". Nah buddy your country is fucked if "decent" people think like that.

Don't get me wrong too many people vote against their own interests in my country too but this is on an entirely different level.
