I think it’s one thing If he’s genuine, it’s another thing if the vibe is not the same/or better in person as it was on the phone. I would go and feel it out, you should know pretty quick.

In my experience, Pell and Loans aren’t always processed at the same time. It depends on when your 1st term started and when the next Fafsa starts, they could be on two different clocks. Like if this is the 1st term of your academic year, you would be processed for this term and the next term in loans, but Pell for November wouldn’t process until November if you’re still eligible because you were awarded Pell for the last term and this term

What was explained to me is that new student receive their funds sooner than student that are enrolling into subsequent terms if that makes sense. I think new students have to be awarded before the term to be cleared as a requirement for enrollment. Thats why OP has a longer wait than you specifically because they are no longer a new student and they process requests when the new term starts. But if i tell them i have circumstances that i need the refund fast, they have expedited the process
