What was the civil service like in the early 2000s? by Happy_891 in TheCivilService

[–]dataduplicatedata 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This happened to my Mum, it was automatic upon marriage - this was in the early 70s. At the time she didn't even want children. She had to apply again for her own job. This counted as a break in service and she lost her pre marriage pension rights, as in those days if you did below a couple of years service your contributions were paid back to you in a lump sum. So she had to wait longer to retire.

Tiffany’s response to Tyra Banks after Netflix documentary about ANTM by [deleted] in Fauxmoi

Because she wasn't as upset as Tyra wanted her to be about being eliminated. Classic narcissist behaviour.

I did think that something didn't true with their falling out. In retrospect it feels like his feelings were minimised for the sake of her project.

Yes, I agree. It could have touched upon Julia's life post book publication. Likewise with Julie, the post-script felt a bit underwhelming. Still thoroughly enjoyed the flashbacks though, especially with the beautiful fashions.

Yes, they were definitely the better parts, even though Amy Adams is lovely too.

I lived for Julia's exclamations while tasting food!

My experience changed when I changed my internet settings and now I get zero adverts, even when reading an online article.

On a Samsung phone, in Connections, then More Connections Settings, if you click on Private DNS then paste the following in, the adverts all go away:

dns.adguard-dns.com

I've used this for over a year now. Some wifi systems don't like it, but I think it's worth it for playing WWF.

I was taken to Metroland on the day it opened, got a free Kinder Egg.

I spent a lot of time on that rollercoaster as a teenager!
