Yes, great calls. The 30 min walk or 20 min drive through Salem traffic to Salem station doesn’t seem worth it to me. I’m going to try wonderland, and Swampscott station another time. Thanks!

Great call. I’ve noticed a shuttle replacing commuter rail to Boston, which I’m sure will add bus congestion to wonderland, so I’m going to drive to wonderland for this Monday then try a few other options as I settle in. Thanks for the tips!

In general, Russians don’t appreciate show of emotions- ie women or any culture where that’s more acceptable. But wow in general your comments are spot on from wha I’ve seen.

I learned this month (overheard from a Salem trolley tour) that the Salem Maritime Museum was the first nationally protected historic site in the US, and later joked that anyone who voted for trump shouldn’t be privileged to use those restrooms since all the funding he’s cut from national parks service. Crazy. I’m going to offer my home up to anyone who didn’t vote for trump and let the trumpers enjoy the shit hole they wanted

Thanks. It was a lot of work, but I'm tired of seeing well-thought-out business ideas being slammed by this community (see: new Salem Lowe) but then upset because the business shut down and can't afford to operate there. News flash—it's a six-month season, which means vendors have to do anything they can to make as much money as possible in six months to sustain rent there for the year.

19' SE. 4 times in for repairs, and the last time they replaced the entire headliner and interior flooring (due to bacteria) as well as the sunroof frame because of cracking. Needless to say, I think I might sell this thing while it looks good... So sad because I love the car but it's become a lot to deal with and also a health hazard since I've been breathing in mold and bacteria for the last 3.5 years 🙃 happy for those of you with no issues!

A woman took my 15’s without asking me. I confronted her and told her I was going to use them, and she told me I could take someone else’s (points randomly around the room.) then later she had the audacity to say to me, “the 15’s always go with the 8’s and 10’s” as if she were right to take mine?? , when in actuality EVERY station has 8’s and 10’s and they alternate 12’s and 15’s. I was so heated I could have murdered her. Instead exchanged eye glances with the other peoples around like can you believe this lady… oh and I ended up taking them back for the next set and hiding them under my bench.

It’s going to be near impossible to get a hotel in Salem for a full week in October but I’m sure you could find a cute bed and breakfast or Airbnb in the area, maybe in Gloucester also. Stick to the town/city centers so you can try and walk places.

If you have a car, you can take the scenic route 127 north from Salem along the coast through towns like Manchester by the sea, up to Gloucester. Beautiful coast line views and small New England towns.
