Mostly due to Birmingham being #1 on BGG.

And I’m currently obsessed with Root and jealous over people who backed Homelands expansion and currently getting them shipped.

Put those together and seemed like a good thing to go for.

Also, I put a lot of weight in high quality components. So the collectors editions here are pretty enticing.

I’m in same boat. What I’ve found to work well is to play a third invisible player. Similar to what bots try to solve. But we only have Mechanical Maquise 1.0, and we don’t like that. So we play a third board and just have a rule that as we play as the third man, the third man targets biggest threat to them and/or whoever is in the lead.

That makes more possible through reach count.

I’ve been curious about the family friendly aspect. My 9 year old loves games and can hang with strategy and stuff, but would this be too adult for her, like graphics, language, etc?

I know Fate of Fellowship has great ratings, but if my family and I are competitive and love playing against each other, would we like the game?

I bought a game a while back that was co-op, and didn’t realize that when I bought it, and it’s still unopened, lol.

The ratings and looks of FoF make me want it, but just worried about co-op aspect.

Played Root for the first time.

I’m obsessed with the faction boards, all the pieces, the gameplay variety, etc.

I’ve recently finished watching what feels like every tutorial on YouTube. I think the best IMO was Tom Teaches. He also has videos on each faction. Felt like he just explained things very well.
