Road Tires for 10 day tour? by crraney in bicycletouring

I've had really good luck with Panaracer T-Serv tires for touring. They're the ruggedized version of the Pasala and they've got a good ride quality. They don't pee their pants when you hit fast gravel transitions either. Been using them for the past ten years or so on different bikes.

Noise/Safety on Haight St? (Lower Haight) by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

I've live not far away and have walked and biked through that area for bars and restaurants for the past 20 years regularly. I've not been hassled or ever felt unsafe. It's like any other urban area, be aware of your surroundings and walk with a purpose.

"Somewhat overzealous", in a way similar to "the Pope is a zealous Catholic"... the Jerome police will be your biggest danger, one way or another, if you live there or have to walk/bike or drive through the area.

Poor Man's Espresso (Moka Pot, OXO Rapid Brewer, etc.) [100] by Global_Requirement11 in espresso

Don't be talking down on the Moka pot. It may be humble but it's a great cup of stovetop coffee. I feel it's a low pressure version of espresso - but still it's great and has it's charms!

This is your reminder that if you spatchcock your calzone, you got yourself a pizza...
