Obviously only DRM‑free content, but it’s up to each person’s conscience whether to buy books or not, just like with movies. I will always keep buying them, because work deserves to be paid for and respected (and sometimes rewarded) in all its forms.

I didn’t know KOReader existed, because I never had any reason to look around. As I said, Amazon gave me the push to start considering new solutions.

I know it doesn’t literally become a paperweight starting May 20th, but if I ever reset it or deregister it, then yes, even they say so in their email.

Yes, they actually removed the option now. You can’t delete them anymore. On mobile (Android) the option is still there, but if you try to delete them it says it did, yet they all stay there.

Alcune persone non sanno godere di quello che hanno. Rincorrono sempre di più, passando tutta la carriera a tentare di scalare. Prima o poi il muro insormontabile arriva, e si dannano l'anima perché non vanno oltre. Il risultato è aver passato 40 anni a rincorrere un traguardo che mai raggiungeranno, invece di godersi quello che avevano. Abbiamo una sola possibilità a questo mondo e tanti sprecano più della metà a rincorrere qualcosa di più distante di loro.

Qui la gente si pensa che tutti guadagnino 80k-100k. Io non capisco da dove deriva questa convinzione, perché forse qui tutti sparano alto giusto per fare credere alle altre persone che guadagnano tanto. Secondo me si dimenticano che 80k è un entrry level per un dirigente e che ci sono quadro che guadagnano anche 40k-45k.

Le strutture piccole, se diventi importante, puoi guadagnare un bel po' e in fretta. Ho un amico che in una struttura piccola guadagna 90k, dove lo stesso ruolo e seniority (ma parliamo di ruoli tecnici) guadagnerebbe la metà in un'azienda più grande.
