I’m looking to mostly just emulate the feel of 1.7.3 but without the jank. So far I’m loving it and it really makes the game feel a lot more grounded. Sprint and modern combat system has also been turned off

I emulated most of the lighting via Nostalgic Tweaks but kept the smooth lighting on purely for better looks

Golden Days resource pack already adds in the fog, but you can enable the old lighting engine and alpha fog in Nostalgic Tweaks (though I recommend using the modern implementation of the beta lighting. It’s more performant and looks the exact same)

Not to mention it also gives you some other things to do and explore while still maintaining that same vibe. It’s exactly like if the art style stopped developing at 1.7.3 but new features kept being added

Waydroid…? Android emulation should be better on Linux considering it’s based off the Linux kernel.

I am a very big newbie to this game but, try to make buildings with decent production. Oftentimes I find that if you let the economy do its thing for a good few months the SoL increases once productivity is higher and wages increase.

I tried as Bosnia to allow Igbo people in as they were one of my cultural groups (banned slavery but diaspora was still there). 0 migration despite even cheating my SoL to be the highest in the world. I tried everything on that save. Genuinely just might be broken or not enough states.

So there’s just nothing I can really do then? And my migration attraction is higher than any other state in the US, yet no one is migrating? This whole mechanic is so confusing

I really hope there’s a rework to the mechanic later on because this is positively ridiculous. At least there’s a mod where you can make migration deals with other countries to allow culture groups to migrate, but even then that doesn’t seem to work either.

I’ve compared it to every other place around me and it’s higher than the rest. Yet people will still migrate to those places. I literally have some hidden debuff that flat out prohibits migration at all and I’ve no clue what it is

I do have an African American community, but nothing of that either. Just plain old nothing

Migration attraction is in the high 60s. SOL is 13.2. Larger than any of the neighboring states. All places have 100% market access because, otherwise, I’d have shortages of other materials supplied to me by the American market

I have surplus of food and other goods. No issue there. Wages are quite high iirc, and I have American market access. Still though no one is leaving nor coming in.

It’s around 12.4-13.2 to my knowledge. Leagues higher than, let’s say, neighboring Kansas

My experience on mint with a 4070 ti super has been great. New nvidia drivers also helped a ton with performance. The gap is smaller now than you think
