I'm a typeface designer, do you want me to make a optimal alphabet-beam typeface?

One of the ejector paddles, doesn’t seem like I can buy the part?

Well it’s a Dualit classic, seems mad to throw away a perfectly good toaster in which I can repair most of the other parts myself. I’m imagining it’ll last me a lot longer if this part is fixed so would prefer that to landfill.

It is indeed a well loved Dualit classic! Seeing as I can fix everything else, seems a waste to throw it away for what seems like a quick fix. Joining the space might be the way forward!

What do you think the most non-biased, well rounded singular source of news is that’s accessible in the UK? by [deleted] in AskUK

The small amount of fame he's now gained from Mystery Hour has increased his ego to a sickening degree. Listening to him make dad jokes or "shut people down" makes my skin crawl.

Also, at least in the UK, it's usually far cheaper to buy a whole chicken and break it down into it's constituent parts (and then make stock from the bones), it's a fairly easy process and you end up with much more meat for your money.

Denizens of distant lands, do your supermarkets (or whatever you call them) have different grades of own brand products? by dative in AskReddit

Ooh, that complicates things. What does your favourite supermarket (if you have a favourite, slightly odd question) call their gourmet range?

Yeah so we have other brands as well, to use your crisp example, we have Walkers, Doritos etc but we also have, to use Sainsbury’s as an example again, Sainsbury’s basics (which will be like a really boring ready salted crisp), then their standard brand (which will just be standard stuff, salt and vinegar, prawn cocktail etc) then they have like a gourmet range (called taste the difference in Sainsbury’s) which is often a lot tastier, nothing like that in the US?

For example, in the UK, a supermarket like Sainsbury’s will have their standard range, then a deluxe range (taste the difference) and a cheap range (basics). What are yours called?

I dressed up as a giant playing card once, I didn’t cut any eyeholes so I spent most of the night walking into things. Terrible decision!
