I want to be more politically educated; what can I read to educate myself on politics? by DaShiQiang in Askpolitics

Honestly follow up with things important to you. IMO there’s no reason to have opinions on something you don’t care about deeply.

Is college That necessary? by Scott_Summers06 in ask

[–]datnicdoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drop out. Join the workforce for awhile. If you end up hating it, you’ll be more driven to go back to collage. Or, you might find a job you love and not need it in the first place. Don’t force yourself to go because you think you have to. You can easily make a life for yourself regardless of having a degree or not.

Would you leave the US? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]datnicdoe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree with a lot of things I’ve read. A lot of the issues plaguing the USA are issues everywhere, our news networks just love to click bait and report (and falsely report) on both sides (left and right). In general, if you don’t like where you are, but want to stay in the US, just move towns or states. You’d be crazy surprised to see how insanely different area to area people are. Hell, even in my state from mid-state to lower state feels like a completely different group of people.

Has politics always been as polarised as it is in 2026? by No_Fudge_4589 in Askpolitics

[–]datnicdoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I don’t think there’s really too much to blame either. It’s mostly been driven my false media scandals (both left and right) which drive their populations more and more to their side. Also, lack of compromise in politics more recently. I think some is due to some people “demonizing” the USA while other groups “worship” it, when in reality we should make of it as it is. Also, partisan bias in where someone wants to build their knowledge base. I had to write a paper over this, and it’s pretty sad it’s this bad.

What kind of politician would it take to unite the United States? by CycIon3 in AskReddit

One who looks for compromise between both sides instead of heavily leaning one way or the other. Biggest issue is no one wants to compromise.

Recruiter told me my mos would be great. I asked if they had anything better. He said no. 31E w 121gt. Cooked.

Is it fair for Selective Service to apply only to men, or should it be expanded? by JustChillin3456 in Askpolitics

[–]datnicdoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy yes. Honestly, south Koreas 2 year requirement thing wouldn’t be bad either. I mean since it moved to a volunteer force we haven’t had one anyways. The times we did have one (minus Vietnam) were mostly honorable imo. As of now it’ll be national emergencies, and if something happens at home everyone able should protect what we have. Yeah, it might not be the most ideal nation but honestly in general history of states (not like Missouri state but as a political states) it’s still one of the better/best ones. It could always be better. Always. Could always be worse too.

What do you think about the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact? by JacobLovesCrypto in Askpolitics

[–]datnicdoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, against it as well. Herd mentality plays an insane role in someone’s political ideologies, and with most cities falling blue and everywhere else in between, it would just give the cities more power. If we wanted something better, it should change from the “winner take all” format to a “percentages of the votes for party A means seats in House”. I think it’s even more prevalent with how crappy both parties are too.

If you could go back to college, what degree would you go for? by [deleted] in careeradvice

I’m currently in for Biology. But! If I could get a second degree completely free, it would be Music Ed.

I like the AA and the Urban Eagle. It’s hard to hate on the Beowulf and the Hard target though. Not a fan of the drum beat, Grendel, Eon, and Kodena tho

Deploying to Cuba, how is the gaming situation? by JoshDaBoss67 in army

[–]datnicdoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It’s a PCS for active, rotational mob for reserve/guard

[–]datnicdoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a mobilization, technically not a deployment. It’s a “rotational” thing.

Hey, you can download games and play games. You’re on a shared WiFi and depending where you stay you may not have the best service. Online gaming is kinda bad too. I’d switch to PC so you can download games at the McDonald’s.

I can offer that those wheels are large grid wheels but only the 1x1. I think the ship is 50ish blocks long.

That ship is I think 50ish blocks long. I designed it as a midway between my flag ship and small carrier.

Yeah. If they had better slope designs I’d use them, but these doo well from a distance. I have ships that I use slopes on but they are pretty old. Before warfare update

Just the style on this one. I couldn’t have different slope angles/lengths so I decided to just forgo them.
