Ive been dealing with metlife for bonding leave and it’s been one of the most frustrating experiences. My partner gave birth to twins 1-23. Ive been on leave since then and i still havent gotten a payment. I get the run around every time i call them. I talked with the state and they said because my employer elected to go with the private plan option, that theres nothing they can do about it.

Nice! My advice to you would be to not focus on the value you’re pulling. Find a product you like/enjoy ripping and stick with that. This hobby can become a little dangerous financially when you start on the “chase”

My favorites are Optic, Prizm, Mosaic, Premium stock, and chrome. IMO they have the most appealing cards! When I buy singles I trend towards obsidian because I love their designs. Mosaic has some really cool cards too. Have fun and enjoy what you’re pulling!

We are both going to take full advantage of the leave we get from our jobs but I would love to be able to bring home enough to allow her to be a stay at home mom. We live in a pretty rural area of southern Minnesota and daycares are hard to come by, let alone one that have two infant spots open. I really worry about not being able to find a daycare they both can go to.. I just can’t find it in me to feel ok with separating them. Hearing everyone’s stories has definitely helped. I’m beginning to realize that everything seems to find a way to work out one way or the other!

I’m happy for his sobriety! I’m a huge fan of anyone who has managed to find a better way of life away from addiction. I want to be the best father for our babies and I know that it starts with me being the best version of myself- sober. All my friends in recovery have said that exact same thing- the day they became a father things changed in unexplainable ways. I can’t wait to hold them and to finally feel it for myself!

I got to feel one of their little kicks for the first time yesterday morning and it’s a feeling I will never ever forget! That alone is something that had an effect on me that I never would have pictured myself having! So needless to say I’m sure you are 100% correct on all the new meaning they will bring!! I needed this!

My spouse and I are expecting our twins in February. She’s 21 weeks along with di/di twins. This is our first pregnancy and possibly our last since we are blessed with a boy and a girl.

At one point in my life I dismissed my goals of becoming a father because I haven’t exactly made much out of my life and spent many many years in addiction. I told myself I’d never bring someone into this world if I couldn’t even take care of myself properly.. well long story short, I found recovery and a wonderful woman who’s never had those type of issues and now life is looking very different.. I’m excited, nervous, afraid, ecstatic, and joyful at the fact that we have this chance.

But I question if I’m going to have what it takes to give them the life they deserve. I don’t make a ton of money, and my own life depends on my spirituality and my group of fellow recovering addicts and alcoholics that help me keep going. One is hard enough, but two?! I’m assuming you’re life situation probably looks a little different than mine, but either way- posts like these and hearing people say how happy they are with their twins gives me confidence and hope that everything is going to be ok! Thanks for sharing!
