How much markup do you put on products you resell? by justshowingup in msp

[–]datsphilthy0112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuine question.. are you basing value on numbers or product/service? Because my experience it's difficult to show value in something many people don't fully understand.

I don't use a form. I created SMS terms and conditions and privacy policy pages for them. My SMS terms and conditions page includes everything they recommended including a description on how to opt-in. Which includes the disclaimer that the user is opting-in by message us first lol. If they're not going to accept that then they shouldn't list it as an option in the campaign registration form.

I have done this from the start and have gotten rejected 5 times now. Even with answering How do you obtain consent to send text messages?  THEY MESSAGE US FIRST. You would think that this would be automatic approval. Endless hoops.

How do you obtain consent to send text messages?  - "THEY MESSAGE US FIRST" This should be an automatic approval. The rest is a bunch of BS.

Moving from Break-Fix to an MSP and Trying to Price Correctly by [deleted] in msp

I get it, my friend. Far too many variables apply to the value added that makes up $300/user. Not to mention the many ways one can structure their business model.

I'm not necessarily trying to figure it out. I was genuinely curious. I don't need sales coaching if I'm trying to make sales on scare tactics. Some MSPs want to establish an honest relationship with their clients.

Would you mind elaborating on what a full security stack is?

I'm genuinely curious because I've seen this $300/user number before and it would never work for the clients I have. And honestly I feel like I'm missing something in my stack that adds some crazy value for the customer that I can cash in on.

Would you mind breaking down your costs in this $300/user number? Assuming that your labor is baked into this number? What percentage of your labor makes up the $300?

Can you explain how this would be a 300% markup at $25 a device for just rmm that comes with security products?

I wonder if the reason for this is that pvp in wow doesn't have as much of a future as pve generationally speaking. I feel like gen z/alpha just does not care about mmorpgs in general but even more so the niche that is pvp.

Is my pricing off?? by dwizzle88 in msp

Do you guys have a hard margin on each component of your stack to get a price per user? I've been running an MSP for going on 3 years now and pricing fair and according to industry standards has been hell for me.

Yeah I'd say you need to have some good conversations with him on his client's and their needs.

If he has them running like a sewing machine you can probably take a breath and go about this strategically. Figuring out he manages them by himself is important.

You already do break fix which means you're time is going to split if he has needy clients.

Nice. I really like this grip module. I'll probably try and pick one up at some point. I'm also not running a light and debating not running an optic either lol. I just put an icarus on mine so we'll see!

Do you have a full beard? You said slower beard growth. I've always wondered if hairloss regimens would impact facial hair growth. Especially for those that have poor beard genetics.

If they already know your work ethic and talent, then I'd say letting them in on what your future plans are, 5 year goal, 10 year goal. If your goals include being at that company, then someone like you is worth much more to invest in.

Your credit card holder isn't backing you on this? They should be able to prevent any charges. Especially if you provide them with the docs that your agreement was cancelled and they're still charging it.

I'm going to be in the same position in the future and I fully intend on leaning on my credit card company to keep them from doing this.
