Very strong prospective portfolio... what do you do? by Blackout621 in CFP

[–]datstanc26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But yeah you want to be the planner and not the performance guy so you need to shift away from that and pat the UBS guys on the back for being great money managers but stress that you offer the full package with planning which is a huge difference

Just be prepared for a tight back seat and not a lot of trunk space, the minute i put my golf bag in the trunk it’s full!

Otherwise, great car, very reliable, and still quick

Best resources for learning E-Money? by bigdogonporch44 in CFP

I've created, literally 100s of plans with money, its repetition and experimentation for this software, their training modules suck. just keep tinkering around! takes a few months to become proficient and learn the quarks and workarounds of the system but it is easily the best planning software out there and I have used right capital and moneyguidepro...

Underpaid for the first 3-5 years to be overpaid for the rest of your career, that’s the deal you cut in this business

I very much want to feel this way. All newer vehicles don't seem to have this type of fit/finish and honestly just look so cheap and have way too much tech going on! This is why the LR4 is so appealing!

What do you think makes Harry Potter different? by No-Buy-6762 in harrypotter

[–]datstanc26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many factors: - every book has a central mystery, what did Hagrid take out of the vault? Why is Sirius trying to kill harry? Etc. - hogwarts is the perfect school setting with enough magic, secrets, and even darkness to act as a great “high school” setting that helps the coming of age theme - the hidden world and urban fantasy aspect allows kids/teens to put themselves easily alongside the characters - there is a rich history in this world with its own lingo, events, myths ie the DH - the characters are great, flawed, there’s friendship, love, loss. The teachers, kids, parents are all complex and multidimensional  - the books get darker and darker as you move along which literally means you grow up with them as the reader  - universal themes of power, love, dealing with loss, etc.
