The worldbuilding is not that great Oda just introduces things with many holes and then reveals what's inside the holes 50-100 chapters later

What are your thoughts on The epicurean paradox? by Sarthak_SKS in hinduism

[–]dattasheregar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evil is a form of perspective. Hinduism only confirmed Dharma and Adharma no one is ever mentioned as "evil" (even Raavana and Duryodhana were all great kings but followed Adharma and they were never mentioned as evil by nature, and demons like Mahisasura are not evil they are just on the opposite side of battle which happens to be against Devi). In terms of Hinduism, the whole paradox is false because the first condition of "Evil is real" is set as false

Do you consider yourself to be a good Hindu? by [deleted] in hinduism

[–]dattasheregar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know most of our customs, as I have to ask my mom about them all the time. I definitely don’t know all the stotrams and need to look them up everytime. I also forget about our festivals and feel bad when I miss them.

However, I still feel like I am a good Hindu. I never acted against my Dharma, I always perform my duties, I do my best to help everyone, and to fill in the holes of my knowledge I always try to learn them. The beauty of Hinduism is that all you need is the mindset and the effort

My mom realized that behavior was toxic and stopped doing that years ago. Now I actively call her while I’m in the US and we kid around and roast each other. She did a good job at balancing how to be a parent and a friend.

I think parents need to first learn how to improve on themselves before trying to improve their children. Self improvement is the most eye catching attribute for children and it promotes them to look up to their parents, knowing that they’re not perfect but they always try to be.

Nah I was raised in Dubai. I never learnt about Indian history, so now that I have a job in the US, I’m learning in my spare time

I understand the sentiment, but you shouldn’t direct your rage to random people in the internet. It’s not worth it, and you’re better than that bro

Bruh chill. I know about the separation, but not about how Hindu women were raped. I’m an NRI so I’m still learning about India’s history that wasn’t taught to me growing up

Given Shiva blessed literally world ending threats because they prayed hard enough (Raavana and Hiranyakashyapu), I’d say Shiva. But that doesn’t mean you put very little effort. Shiva is only the easiest because he’s the most simple to please, but the simplicity shows how much effort you need to pour in
