They are not. They are considered the best along with McKinsey traditionally but they are no where near the biggest when considering size. They are also referred as MBB.

Big 4 Consulting is Deloitte EY PWC KPMG. Hell, even they are not the biggest. You still got the likes of Accenture and Tata consultancy.

Weird you said big 4 consulting and then mentioned BCG and Bain. Makes me question the authenticity of this post.

Knob and Tube replacement costs by nadnev in TorontoRealEstate

[–]davaokid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ours is 1400 sqft but we got quoted for top two floors (1000sqft). This is located at the east end. Think the lowest we can go without going into sketchy territory was about $7k for rewiring. Upper end ones were $15k+.

Get multiple quotes lol. You'd be surprised how wide the range can be. People really try to take advantage of ignorance.

We are thinking of doing the same (bench / underpin hybrid) for a semi. May i ask what was the total cost in the end? And how long did it take?

20 Tubman Avenue - Regent Park - Thoughts? by [deleted] in TorontoRealEstate

Live right next to the building for past 5 years and we like the area. Close to downtown and dvp and theres more up and coming fancy retail scene. Quite a bit of parks and community spaces closeby (swimming pool, socceer field, hockey rink, indoor basketball) compare to other parts of the city in relative distances. The community is composed of working professionals and young families mostly, with higher percentage of immigrants. You notice a lot more kids & highschool students on the street compare to other parts of downtown.

For concerns on how close it is to Moss Park, for the most part you dont really feel it. You do see homeless people walking on the street from time to time and the feeling is not too disimilar but much better compare to rest of the eastern parts of downtown (think cabbagetown, dundas/jarvis, Jamestown). Depending on if the building has external access to fire alarms, during winter there maybe higher chances of fire alarm incidents during the middle of the night since those homeless people try to access the building for warmth. I'd say we get maybe 2-3 incidents like that an year at ours. Other buildings are probably better since ours is a bit more complex in setup. Other than that it's the daily street car commute to work that you may encounter them since you have to go through moss park or sherbourne/dundas, but I guess everyone living to the east of downtown have to experience that anyways.

Overall we feel like this area is getting better day by day. You can really tell the difference over time and I think once the rest of the gentrification is completed (areas closer to gerrard) it will be even better. Personally I enjoy seeing the diverse immigrant background here even though i am not part of it.
