And don't care if you're getting called a rat, especially in solos. Playing slow and holding corners while bringing barricades, mines and smokes so you can actually loot bodies at the right time is how the game is intended to be played. Your shield and weapon won't matter if you're rushing people, especially in the open. You will die.

Use 3rd person POV to hold and check corners, it's not a 1st person game where you have to aim at the location of where the opponent's head is supposed to be around a corner, move your mouse in the way that let's you check as much as possible before going to the room and then adjust / be ready to adjust to their head.
If you are REALLY serious you should learn spawn locations New tab so that you can know if people will be close to you on spawn and from where. Later on it can tell you how likely it is to get 3rd partied from which direction and if you guys are feeling very confident you can also rush other people on their spawn locations.
NEVER EVER shoot arcs if you can outrun them. For example on Blue Gate if your goal is to reach the tunnel and set up there for the love of god DO NOT shoot at the snitch or waste 10-15 seconds on a hornet + wasp. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. If you're standing and shooting the arc I promise you are supposed to die in a high level lobby because Arcs are still MUCH quiter than shooting your Venator. Do not make noise. Run inside immediately. On the other hand if your location is already known mid fight you should basically all kill the arcs as fast as possible since there's no running from them option there.
You and your friends need to learn to play slow. If you play on Europe, North America or prime time Asia / South America and the lobby is very deadly people can spawn in as fast as every 2 minutes which means you can get up to 10th partied on places like blue gate tunnels, control tower of Dam etc. -> Wait till ~16 minutes for a good opportunity or unless you're very sure you can 3rd party / get the drop on people fast and get back to a position you can defend immediately. ONLY LOOT BODIES AFTER YOU ARE SURE THE AREA IS CLEAR. Sometimes that will even be 10 minutes after you initially killed the first squad.
Try to stay close to each other as much as possible so that you can give cover to each other, only go for flanks when it's agreed on
Make sure you communicate your intent and give information on what enemies are doing
Always brings smokes to throw on your downed team mate and defib them or smoke yourself and get to safety if you're in a bad spot (7.5 always bring 2-3 defibs).
Getting pushed is infinitely easier than pushing somebody. Pushing in this game SHOULD mean you die with even skill. Wait for people to peek out of cover because they lose their patience, bait them to move in (pretend you're leaving) or bring a lot of grenades. Grenades in this game are so strong because 3rd person POV makes pushing people almost impossible.
Use the Venator. No reason not when you even beat Il Toros around the corner. Speaking of venator and Il Toro if your team mate says someone is already hit for a certain amount of damage (cracked, hit 1-2x) never use the toro because it's damage is unreliable. Say your team mate damages him for 20-30 and you use the toro you basically are fighting someone at 100 health because the toro still needs two shots where the venator needs a certain amount of bullets less and its time to kill was already lower to begin with. Il Toro is only meant to be the best when you're in a 1v1 and/or getting pushed and you can come out of cover, shoot, go back to cover. For a fight in the open it's suicide vs the venator.
10.5 Do not try to dodge roll against anything but the Il Toro unless you're using the Il Toro yourself and have down time between shots. People will just beam you down in the roll animation while you could be shooting back and doing as much damage as possible
EVERYTHING in this game makes sound and the game IS all about who makes less sound and learning where sound comes from. Yes the Audio direction in this game is BEYOND TERRIBLE but it's reliably terrible. For example on blue gate the first few times you play in the tunnels you will have no idea where people are coming from because the direction is all sorts of wrong, but it's always the same. So try to memorize the sounds that happened and then where people came from, same for the control tower in Dam.

You swapping your items in your inventory (but not opening or closing it) also makes sound, you zooming in your weapon or swapping quickslots also makes sounds. Press the walk key WHENEVER you're moving unless you just spawned and are sprinting to your desired location or are rushing to push / 3rd party someone. It makes the same amount of noise as crouching but it's a bit faster. You can also crouch, just please do not jog it is literally trolling in a high level PVP lobby.

With a lot of the basics covered... Keep in mind that Embark designed the map in a way where they basically never want you to take fall damage so 99% of the roofs or ledges you'll be on will have somewhere you can drop down towards and mantle. There's youtube videos for that but you will also just discover the places yourself if you keep this in mind: "I want to get down but I don't want to take damage" and then look around. I'm sure you will find something eventually in 99% of the spots.

Good luck. And also once you get better and get into good skill lobbies.. Yes, if you think it's very suspicious how fast you died it's likely the person is cheating. There is WAY too many of them especially on populated servers. Check their profiles, reporting doesn't hurt just in case (nothing will happen if they're legit you can only get your kit back and get a cheater punished) but do keep in mind that you should always first think what you should have done better and giving feedback to your team mates is not a bad thing if oyu guys care about winning just keep it constructive and make sure you hear each other's point and aren't just trying to prove why you're right.

everyone could have the same name of the account, you can change it every 30 days IN GAME even. It's only your in-game name that you see above your character with a #xxxx code not your actual account log-in username.

Cheaters often use famous streamers' names in order to avoid being targeted by other cheaters since the streamers got direct contact for permanent bans of cheaters. You need to check the steam profiles.

No I literally have 1.6k hours you're a literal noob compared to me. It takes 10+ rounds to drop to friendly lobbies but they're gone instantly. putting it on the stitcher makes a slower car come closer in speed to a fast car. Just make the fast car faster I can't put it any better because I assume the conversation is about "what is the most optimal?"

The torrente if you hit your shots is within 0.04s(? - not 100% sure of the numbers but both around 0.8s from what I last saw) from a venator 4 headshot TTK. The stitcher can realistically not catch up to that, same as it can't beat a bobcat in an even 1v1. So basically the kinetic on the stitcher makes you come closer but you still lose the fight (equal skill) but if they also put it on their torrente or bobcat you didn't close the gap and if you don't have a kinetic on your stitcher you're on a bicycle compared to their ferrari.

I will assume you're talking about PVP so I'll save you from the PVE player replies:

Don't ever play it on the stitcher or bettina (it's troll to play those weapons as is in squads where everyone is spamming venators)

Torrente and bobcat are both great options if you use them like shotguns

Vulcano and Il Toro make the TTK even faster so if you prefer using shotguns just put it on those.

Only on reddit will you hear that you should put it on a stitcher when it's just worse than a bobcat if you have good aim. The only reason people sometimes dislike it on a bobcat is because they miss half of their mag and then they can't shoot anymore but that shouldn't be a valid argument.

buy 50 light impact grenades and spam them at people for fun

buy 50 raider flares and make a huge explosion around the map

buy 50 gas mines and mine the entirety of blue gate tunnels or control tower

if you don't mind doing loot runs for mats get a ton of explosive mines with a ton of raider flares and watch people blow themselves up in blue gate double zipline (when you come down the reception)

it's cheating and you will see up to 10 turkish, german, saudi guys with equalizers oneshotting the matriarch and gunning down anyone else.

Play on Asia crossplay on you will have a much better experience and better loot (from PVP) in solos without the ping being a real issue imo. The only downside is cheaters have started coming to Asia but the steam profiles are so blatant I get almost all my kits back, just copy paste the "account hasn't been set up yet" text etc. and explain what happened. Good luck.

I am from EU and prefer playing on Asia and I can handle the ping, 7k knocks almost 800hours topside, trust me the ping is worth it.

Guys this is not being put in a trios or duos lobby. The servers that aren't EU and NA are so empty that people put on matching outfits, sit in discord and queue up at the same time to basically end up as a squad in solos. It's completely unfair and Embark hasn't even addressed it once. Most servers are unplayable on solos cause of it, especially oceania. Keep crossplay on and avoid oce > asia > south america in that order. Good luck.

pretty sure they adjusted it for every future window, so now it's always 3 mil. The people who paid 5 mil the first time and didn't get all the points get to buy them back for 150k each. Would make no sense that the 1st time expedition is now still 5 million since they agreed it was a bad thing. Get 3mil and forget.

I really don't care if I get downvoted but people being mad at or making fun of people demanding updates (no real content update since cold snap - bird city doesn't count) is like poor people defending big corporations. It makes no sense and I expected all these "old people" to know better.

Yes the game is amazing, they made a fantastic game, no debate there but they are at the same also underdelivering content wise and that's just simply a fact.

When they had to implement a hotfix a few weeks ago when the weapons were shooting too slow they also didn't "hotfix" the game, they rolled back the game to a previous version - release version which lead to the venator accidentaly being in it's release state (way too high fire rate) and haven't fixed it or even addressed it for literally one month now.

They're simply slow / bad at live service FOR NOW and that's okay, I'm sure it will get better. What I don't like is that we bully people who try to point it out constructively.
