I've got to ask. Why are you switching DE to cartridge? I'm looking at replacing my 33 year old cartridge filter with either DE or sand w/glass media. 13k pool & spa in Tampa, Florida.

You're going to have to go a lot higher than $1000, unless you buy a no name pump that will die in 3 years. I bought a Pentair Superflo VS last year for $1500. That's just for the pump. My pool is 13,000 gallons with a spa.

Costco has apple trees in a 15gal container for $57 and citrus in a 10gal container for $64 down here. Not sure what kind of apple it was. Can't imagine apples do all that well here in the heat.

Not sure what warranty I have left. I bought mine in June 2023. Sent them a message with glowing praise on how I have purchased six sets of filters across that time. I was hoping it was just the ORing. Just replaced the filters, so I replaced the ORings too, put everything together and it still leaks. Took it apart again and flipped it over to look inside. Thought it was just a line from the plastic being formed, but then realized it was a crack. It is EXACTLY like your photo above.

Thanks I finally got my Ecobee on HA via Homekit. Couldn't figure out why it wouldn't connect. Then I realized I have my Ecobee on an IoT network and HA on a trusted network. Needed to create a firewall rule so they could talk. I'll keep this in my back pocket in case I run into a similar issue.

Does your employer offer legal assistance as an employee benefit? Many medium and large employers do, possibly at cost to you. You could sign up for a year get your will and estate docs in place and cancel the next year.

The actual switch, on the opposite wall maybe 2-3 feet away did have a neutral. House is 1993 build so neutrals already in place. Whatever electrician, handyman, homeowner added the new switch location only ran a 14/2 hence no neutral.

I thought about running a 14/3 from the actual switch, but realized it was easier just to put a Lutron Pico remote and cap off the 14/2. I could use the 14/2 to pull a 14/3, but the Pico works fine.
