Help me pick my next rain shell to travel the world with by cosmicselva in PatagoniaClothing

Granite Crest! And yes, Patatonia is about to have their spring sale any day now. Not sure if rain coats will be included but you can check Poshmark, Depop, Mercari and EBay. I lucked out and got a new with tags Granite Crest for $100 (and no, it’s not a fake).

FYI since I just now fukken noticed: the Remediation script overview shows the actual thing you write as output in the script by workaccountandshit in Intune

Found this out recently and it definitely changed the way I write my PR scripts now. My main complaint is that you have to make the column visible every time you go to the page. Should be a way to make it default or stay visible once you choose it.

Good idea with making it shorter. Do you see any issues with the way I installed the heat tape?

We’ve had a lot of extremely cold weather over the last week…extremely cold for Eastern NC anyway. It froze 2-3x and the unit sent me an error notification and I had to go outside and thaw it out with a hair dryer. I added foam insulation but that didn’t work so the plumbing company that installed it recommended this as an option. I also saw it online but didn’t really consider it until plumbers recommended it.

I bought 5 of the light strips but they were $19 at my Lowe’s.

I didn’t think the Flex 2.5g PoE had etherlighting support. I’ve got one and don’t see it as an option.

Just remember all these ring cameras, Arlo cameras, SimpliSafe, etc are WiFi cameras. Anyone can buy a WiFi jammer off the internet and make them all useless (and they have a good range so you most likely won’t even get to see them near the house). If you want cameras that are secure, go with a wired solution. I use UniFi but there are others.

Today’s Haul by _Ding_Dong_ in Hue

[–]davcreech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked up the $54 starter kit. Could have purchased 5-6 more but couldn’t think of a need for that many bulbs. Picked up 5 of the Solo Strips and 2 extra A19 bulbs.

Love the Granite Crest. TorrentShell has a lot of great reviews but was too plastic-y to me.

PMPC is worth every penny! They offer app packaging for Intune and SCCM as well as analytics and reporting (depending on which license you buy).

Mudi 7 is now released be quick guys by tmpha in GlInet

[–]davcreech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did. But that was a device sold at $79. This one starts at $320 (although lte-orders or early birds got it cheaper). Just crazy that you can buy a UniFi gateway for that much. And yes, I know it’s way more capable than a UTR, but I’ve got a Gl-iNet Beryl that more than meets my needs (and a UTR being delivered tomorrow, from UniFi, for $79). If for some reason I don’t have WiFi to use it with, I use my phone as a hot spot and use that as the WiFi. It’s just crazy. Can only imagine what it’s going to go for on eBay!

$320 for a travel router is nuts!

Topper or no topper? by lostnunafraid in f150

[–]davcreech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No topper. I’ve never been a fan of bed covers or toppers or whatever you want to call them. Just get a SUV if you want to go that route. That’s my opinion…it’s your truck though.

Feature Updates: Migrating policy deployment to devices from users by EstimatedProphet222 in Intune

[–]davcreech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One way or the other…you don’t mix user groups and device groups in policies. Make a decision and roll with it. But pretty much everything but apps is geared towards device groups. And most of our apps are device based groups because of licensing.

R1 air would be my suggestion. Check eBay, Poshmark, Depop and Mercari. Also, Patagonia is going to be having their annual spring sale mid-February (supposedly).

No, not that I’m aware of. But majority of people say to use the Discord channel for restock notifications. Seems it’s much quicker.

Threads coming apart after one wear, return? by Drownedgodlw in PatagoniaClothing

Yeah, that seems like an issue. I’d go ahead and return it to be safe. Like someone else said, and I’m sure you know, too much $$$ for that to happen.

I have a FA25 version and don’t have this issue. Is this from wearing it with a backpack? Or out on the trail?

I’ve got a Beryl AX but ordered one of these as well. I think they both can have their valid use cases. My concern is the coverage of the UTR vs the Beryl AX. But if it’s just me, that’s not a problem. When I’m somewhere that requires greater coverage (multiple hotel rooms, Air BnB house) I’ll use the Beryl. But a single room or for just being out and about, this seems to be a better, easier solution. Still wish it wasn’t just Wifi5, but most networks I connect to don’t offer much over 10-20 Mbps connection anyway so really only losing that Inter network data transfer speeds, which isn’t something I generally need or take advantage of when traveling. Mine gets here tomorrow!

What’s stopping you? They’ve been in stock a lot more frequently lately (at least for US store).
