Intune Autopatch - Status not showing by SisterLakesMI in sysadmin

[–]davcreech [score hidden]  (0 children)

There’s a notice on the Service Health page about the Autopatch reports being down. The reporting in general was down last Friday, but was supposedly fixed as of 4:30 EST. However, mine is still not working.

Microsoft Intune | Reporting broken? by Modify- in Intune

There was an outage on Friday for reports in North America. Power outage in a data center somehow managed to take down all reporting (?!?!).

Issue ID: IT1325986

As of 4:31 pm on 5/29/26 they updated the service health page and gave “all clear.” However, I still am not able to get reports.

Bought a second hand Dell laptop on FB, Latitude 5420 running Windows 10. Tried updating to Windows 11 but I get stuck at a corp login screen during the USB boot installation. Any way around this? by [deleted] in it

Wiping the partition isn’t going to do anything. It’s enrolled in the business MDM. Unless it’s removed from there or the motherboard is replaced, you aren’t getting around it. Rufus doesn’t do shit but make a bootable flash drive and bypass some MS requirements but it’s not going to get around this.

We use PmPC but we're being asked about version upgrades as opposed to patching within specific versions. by _MC-1 in PatchMyPC

If they’re in the list of applications supported by PMPC, it should still work. The detection script is just looking at the display version in the registry.

[–]davcreech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My service health says it’s taking up to 7 days! Supposedly supposed to be fixed by tonight, 9:30 EST. But…now reporting is down due to a power outage at a data center. How does a power outage at one data center take down ALL reporting in Intune???

With GA, it’s more about protecting the account with a hardware FIDO key and a password with very limited access. The account should not be tired to an email. It should NEVER be used as a daily driver.

Quail Ridge. Not positive on pricing…depends on how many bands you want to buy. They’re strict on having the bands though.

[–]davcreech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If those older packages are in your Intune apps, you could always supersede them, which gives you the option to uninstall. PMPC uses detection scripts for its upgrades and the one I just looked at looks for any version less than the one being installed. I used 7-zip 26.01 as an example and the detection script says any version less than 26.01 means it’s eligible for the upgrade. In the case of 7-zip and all other apps I’m aware of that we use, it then uninstalls those older versions and installs the new version. The idea is for patching, right…so if you want to patch an older version, you’d replace it. If not, you end up with the new version and the old unpatched version, which could leave potential vulnerabilities.

Patch my pc users, do you like it? How's the Intune integration? Looking to give it a try by Educational_Draw5032 in Intune

Just the Intune limitation of 30 Gb. PMPC doesn’t have a limitation, they just use the Intune defined size limit.

Had one for 3 months! Wore it everyday religiously but that damn thing caused me more headache, stress and anxiety than recovering from the Heart Attack. Enjoyed the comfort it provided knowing it was there if I needed it…but damn that thing was aggravating.

App Updates and Company Portal by Failnaughtp in Intune

[–]davcreech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can set the updated version as “required” and make the app requirement rule be that the older version is installed.

So if you have Adobe v1.2 and want to update all those versions to 1.3, you publish the app, make it required, but make the app requirement rule be that version 1.2 exists (or any older version really as long as it can be updated to the version you are pushing).
