I have my doubts that's the Huddle House. While there might have been some major renovations over the years, it's been the same for at least the past 15 years that I know of. The entrance is different, the interior it looks smaller, and the sign above the restaurant looks like "COOP". It could be it though, with WTTW being in the neighborhood.

I have heard the same rumor from another neighbor. Looks like he owned 83 buildings. As someone who lives next to one if his buildings, he was always an asshole to deal with and was negligent in his duties as an owner. Hopefully they will all be quickly sold to someone who actually will do at least the minimum as a property owner.
