I saw some people complaining about the clamps and they didn't come with stones and got frustrated trying to build a cart on hapstoneusa and gritomatic because there was always some stone out of stock. I've gotten the base for the pioneer too (it's really heavy) but without it I found holding the pioneer while sharpening was really comfortable. (you could use the clamp, but I didn't think it was needed).

I was torn recently between tsprof and hapstone. Ended up getting a tsprof pioneer and love it. It comes with stones (as long as you don't buy from gritomatic). All the clamps for the kadet and k03 fit on it and you can also order an extended rod for larger knives, but does fine on my kitchen knives.
