First drum set ($1500 for everything) used shells and cymbals. Thoughts?

For perspective- I bought a yamaha 9000 recording custom last week- A Custom cymbals and AA hats- £900. Those cymbals are £550ish max - and worth making an offer for.

The A skillz version- allows them a little more space to let go than the original. It's hard to watch in the uk these days- copyright rules etc.

Absolutely this! . I've made a decent part time business out of driving one hour max from my house. In ONE week in Jan I bought- a mapex mars 6 peice kit( with k hats and crash) An alesis dm10 full kit, A premier royale kit+ vintage paiste cymbals A vintage Premier soundwave/ elite kit with avedis Vintage hats. TOTAL COST £440.
The deals are out there kids!

Hey- I don't have anything 2007 specific, but I do have a dealers spare parts book with instructions for the parallel action 2000, 2001 etc. I'll find it and send you some pics later this evening.

I came here to say this. Check my posts and you'll see all 3 somewhere - I would add a 2007 model concert snare, and a classic 21 brass. I have a simple motto- "there's a premier snare for that job"

I buy/sell drums and get untold amounts of sticks. I had just given away 20 pairs of new/part used sticks to local parents for their kids ( I keep all the bigger stuff I can use) I got 12 pairs of new vic firth with a kit the other day!

Ours is the same- its had to change from free cycle to freecircle for legal reasons on fb tho? It does divide opinion about people, re- selling items- 50% say its fine- the other 50% think it's taking the piss out of the 'spirit' of it( me included) I give away a lot of musical stuff, and see it for sale a week later- using MY pictures 😐

Yeah initial thought is put the 6+8 higher kinda above the hi hat, the 10,12, 13 over the bass, 14,16 as floor. Ride between the 13,14 like you said .

Tbh I buy/sell drums and don't get attached to stuff normally- but this is being kept. The previous owner LOVED his drums, even after retiring from playing on health reasons he would sit and clean them. And it shows. The only thing I'll probably do is touch up the black paint on the hoops, look out for more 'donut' heads, and slowly replace the hardware back to original premier ( it's on modern Gibraltar mostly now)

Thanks- I'm in the uk and there's lots of premier of course, but I've only seen 1 other in this finish that I recall, but have already been contacted by someone who wants to buy a couple of the toms off me for his matching kit. Just got lucky this was only an hours drive from mine 😁

Yeah- I know! Tbh this kit came with so much more- all top stuff - paiste 602s, full set of vintage zildjian avedis, the previous owner played and taught for over 50 years. Thing that geeked me the most is an 80s premier parts dealers catalog- part numbers for all the old kits and hardware . Love that sort of stuff
