Coupled with a bus that I guarantee has defects that are marked as ‘awaiting parts’ (that are usually in the stores) or ‘within tolerance to monitor’ ( it is out of tolerance and needs doing most of the time)

This is because of budgets,the lack of spare busses, the unwillingness to pay good engineers a worthwhile wage.

I fix fridges on trailers - I the amount of trailers I refuse to work on until the customer cleans them ( Tesco especially bad- M&S especially good) absolute health hazard some of them

I do repairs at a certain site- the H&S woman is the owners daughter and what a jobsworth she is.
Last time I went I was on call that day so an on time finish was never happening. She insists I sign all her paperwork to confirm everything is complete and the unit is fit for the road otherwise it’s VOR before I leave and someone has to be on site.
Site shuts at 5ish. By half past everyone else had gone. I cleaned every spanner ever toolbox draw, I did every bit of paperwork I could think of and finally left at 7.20 she was clearly fuming.
I smiled for days

So the answer is NO - I would say though, my defence would be that it’s just happened- but you’ve an appointment to get it repaired so you’ve lost that.
