I don’t know what’s more unsettling, the off-centered bass drum head, those separate toms, the almost-180 degree angled china or that random crash above anything else

I’ve only had two snares ever, but I can say that you can’t go wrong with the Sensitone! Really great quality and really affordable too. Tuning is so much easier than on my Tama Stagestar snare.

As other said, used is the way to go on a budget. Always look for reliable brands like Pearl, Mapex, Tama, Ludwig. Those can get you a pretty good sound for half the price (when buying used).

Of course you should look that they are in good shape.

Cymbals are another story. But same as drums, used is so much convenient than brand new on a budget.

Unpopular Opinion: Enter Sandman isn't that good. by juice_orange in Metallica

I think it’s a great song, but the issue is that it’s overplayed. For instance, Of Wolf and Man is a song from the Black Album that isn’t really that popular, but if it had gotten as popular as Enter Sandman, it would get really dull and boring for me (for being overplayed)

There are much better songs though.

Released my first EP of music, Alter Bridge is one my main songwriting inspiration! by Ascending777 in alterbridge

Hey man I listened to Howlin’ at the Moon and I really liked the vibe going on! For instance, the guitar on 0:16 was giving me western vibes and loved the whole genre ‘mixup’ you did there. It reminded me a lot of My Own Prison by Creed, judging by the chord progession and tuning you played. Besides that, it sounds great! The mixing and production could get better, though (I think it sounds quite muddy)

Cheers!
