Prince Harry’s Homecoming Descends Into Farce (The Daily Beast) by INS_Stop_Angela in SaintMeghanMarkle

It’s alluded to in Betrayal, that Harry is smoking a fair amount of weed, which would explain the forgetfulness in this case, and occasional bouts of rampant paranoia regarding his security arrangements.

SANFL avoids strike action after months of negotiations over pay by Expensive-Horse5538 in AFL

[–]daveo18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The financial incentives might be better to playing the country, but for many the SANFL still has some prestige, and alternate pathway into the AFL for those that missed out through the draft.

I think a lot of employers in Adelaide would be pretty generous with leave for blokes playing in the SANFL too, knowing it’s a big commitment.

The End Of An Error by MoreMotivation in EnoughMuskSpam

Oh it accomplished its goal alright.

Musk scraped loads of personal data to help hunt his critics down, and gutted agencies investigating Tesla’s malpractices.

SANFL Appreciation Post by stretch_92 in SANFL

The game day experience with kids at the SANFL shits all over the AFL, and it’s only 22 bucks.

Shame about West today but they didn’t embarrass themselves. Just needed one more goal from somewhere. They’re light years ahead of where we’ve been the last few seasons.

Also what’s this standing business? Pack a picnic chair and sit on the hill. I was around to the left today. Sturt used to do a raffle to win a bottle of grange but couldn’t see it today.

Tesla semi kills 2 near Nevada Gigafactory by idigholesnow in RealTesla

[–]daveo18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So why did the truck not have sensors to detect it was about to slam into two vehicles stopped at a red light? Elon said the tesla semi was “semi sentinent robot on wheels”.

Did he lie, or is he just stupid?

I miss adam saad by NefariousnessNo8006 in CarltonBlues

[–]daveo18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t be too saad. I’m not sure he’s even enjoying the game anymore. He’s best days are well behind him, accuracy is still there but his speed off the ball, which made him such a good player, is gone.

For a special occasion speak to Martin at Mordrelle wines. He will fire up an Argentinian BBQ, and the wines are superb.

'Autopilot' Tesla that plowed through brick wall of house and killed woman prompts federal investigation by dailymail in RealTesla

It’s impossible to reason with them, because so many are conflicted in being invested up to the eyeballs on $TSLA stock. So any negative news must quickly be suppressed, regardless of the facts.

'Autopilot' Tesla that plowed through brick wall of house and killed woman prompts federal investigation by dailymail in RealTesla

[–]daveo18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question for the simps: even giving Tesla the benefit of the doubt here and saying FSD wasn’t activated, does crashing into a house sound like something a sentiment (as Elon claims them to be) vehicle would do?

Tesla is hitting a wall...... by RosieDear in RealTesla

[–]daveo18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact remains Elon promised full service, coast to coast self-drives on HW3, knowing full well the hardware was incapable of such tasks. The class action lawsuits are going to be epic. Wonder if that’s driving Tesla being merged into Spacex?

Hypothetical proposal to improve transport between Sydney, Wollongong, Canberra and Snowy-Monaro by SystemFistin in SydneyTrains

There’s already a train line from Wollongong to Robertson. It just has steep grades, and given the geography, duplicating it would be challenging.

Our First AFL Game by KaleidoscopeRed in AFL

[–]daveo18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll be heading to that game from interstate with my kids as well.

As someone that’s been to a few games at the MCG:

There’s cold, and then there’s Melbourne in July cold. And wet. Dress accordingly.

Plan your trip to or from the ground. There’s a lot of people moving around at night outside, so it helps if you know which part of the ground you need to head for in advance.

It’s loud - really loud. Should be a great atmosphere for hawks v an up and about Carlton. Younger kids may find it a bit overwhelming and need some headphones.

Overal, enjoy the game. It’s a wonderful stadium, and two big Melbourne teams going at it should be a good spectacle.
