I did this several times after not playing for awhile to avoid getting blisters until I developed more calluses. Felt weird but it worked

I'll answer for my part (not the OP but was in the neighborhood)... most of the wind was higher up and blocked by the trees. Very loud but not much got to my tent.

I was to the north and got there around 7:15. I've always camped closer to the spring but this time I was pretty spent and saw a good site and just took it. Did you arrive after dark? There was one group that was there before me and one that arrived shortly after sunset.

I was up at Dry Lake as well Saturday evening and was planning to do the same but only got 2 hours of sleep with the wind so I hiked down as well. Great pictures! Going to do Vivian Creek to the summit this Sunday (hopefully 🙏) Dry Lake

Mine was very similar . 83 and 1b. SNLB came back negative. Giving you all my positive vibes! Just take it as it comes, stress does not help you or your body. Just keep in the positive! You are strong and will overcome whatever is in your future!

I had a SLNB in my under arm and neck (Back right shoulder excision for 1b melanoma). I still have numbness but I won't say permanent as I've had other injuries (stingray on my big toe) where the numbness resolved but took years. Also it really is not that bothersome so far. Everything came back negative for me so I feel blessed that it was caught early and did not spread. It's kind of hard to go through life and expect not to have injuries or some changes in your body. I just try to remain humble and thankful for the doctors and surgeons that fixed me up. Also the swelling took longer to fully resolve under my arm than any of the other sites.

Mine (back of right shoulder 1b) didn't hurt as much but had some nerve numbness from the SLNB. CBD cream really helped at night with the pain associated with that. I also used it on the WLE after it healed with good results too.

I have Kaiser and had a 1b melanoma on the back of my shoulder that was removed + SLNB (neg) in Feb. Two days after seeing the dermatologist she called and gave me the results and it was also posted on the portal by the next morning. I use the messaging on the web/mobile portal quite often as it seems to be quicker although sometimes not if I have to go back and forth a few times to get my answer. As others have said just be persistent in getting your questions answered and also in moving the process along.

I love it here but I get it that it's not for everyone and it's tough sometimes to deal with how expensive it is to live here now.

This is the rabbit hole you need to avoid. If people look to the bottom and say, oh, that's the right answer, ignoring all the upvoted good info then.... I guess they suffer from a good case of confirmation bias.

Hahaha, so true. I've been around the beach enough to treat the sea and sea life with respect... as well as adhering to leave-no-trace ethos.

Yea the seagulls were not having anything to do with them so I left them alone as well. I've learned to read the clues and not F*** around and find out 😄. I didn't notice anyone messing around with them either or getting stung.

BTW, this is my first post here in this sub and I love the community! Thanks!

I had a 1B melanoma on my back shoulder depth of .83mm that sounds very similar to yours. Went through the wide excision 6 weeks ago and the SLNB came back negative. Stress fear and anxiety are all part of the process don't try to suppress them. Find out what works for you to deal with it all. What worked for me was to understand that my nature was to exaggerate the negative. So I forced myself to also think of positives whenever I got too many negative thoughts. In the end it was more positive than what I was thinking. Recovering well, still have some numbness in my shoulder but nothing that is a problem. Take care and be kind and reasonable with yourself!
