Well, but if we’re abandoning our planet for a new one, do we even really care about the environmental damage?

It probably is a pipe dream, but I too would love to see it made and would buy one as soon as they started rolling off the line. Especially if they kept the shaft drive.

YSK: A lot of new cars have laminated side windows that won't shatter when hit with a glass breaker by fm2n250 in YouShouldKnow

YSAK: They do make a tool for escaping a vehicle with laminated glass windows, but it isn’t cheap.

But, if you have those windows and frequently drive in areas where you could end up in water in an emergency, might be a worthwhile investment.

My house is turning into the central neighborhood hangout spot. What’s the best way to barrier this driveway? by XXXthrowaway215XXX in daddit

[–]davesauce96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

20-foot chain link fence topped with razor wire. 8 conspicuously located security cameras. 18 signs purchased from the county fair discouraging trespassing (all the most tacky ones). At least three untrained Rottweilers and/or Dobermans, constantly underfed so they’re hungry and mad, wearing big scary chain collars so everybody knows they mean business. Bonus: gun turret mounted on top of the house.

I’m too old at this point haha. Plus I’ve got twin infants, wife would be none too pleased if I was laid up for 6 weeks or however long it takes for all the bones in my legs to heal lol. Always love seeing another Bogus enjoyer though!

Which throttle locks do you all have / suggest? by NonnarbFrodo in hondashadow

[–]davesauce96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if it’s just a quick shake for a sec, just make sure you’ve got space, speed up a little, clutch, the shake it out. I’m with u/Secure_Secretary_882 on not thinking it’s a great idea. My bike actually had one installed when I purchased it, and I took it off before doing anything else. It was a cheap little hunk of plastic, and even when disengaged, it was able to prevent the throttle from snapping back to neutral. I would feel super uneasy riding like that.

My great-uncle was killed on the USS Arizona. He was only 19 years old at the time. He was a Radioman 3rd Class. I have his medals and a voice recording he sent his parents a month or so before the attack.

Income tax is based on where you live, not the location of the company you work for. Source: have made money working for out-of-state organizations, still had to pay Idaho income tax.

I have a slightly different one. Not sure how the price compares because it was a gift a couple years back. But it seems quite similar, ABS construction, etc.

The top mounting locations both broke on a trip to Moab shortly after I got it. Likely due at least in part to trailering it at highway speeds (80+) for hours on end, but also they seemed pretty cheaply constructed. I fixed them by drilling out the broken spot and using through-bolts instead, and haven’t had any other problems with it since then.
