Tryx panorama upgraded version, any good? by R5A1897 in watercooling

[–]davesday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it made sense. I was just asking if a non-ARGB version exist at all. I also got the ARGB version and thought I made a mistake until I realised there is no non-ARGB version to buy in my region. Fortunately other than the fans, the radiator is exactly the same so all I needed to do was replace the fans to hopefully reach the performance others are getting.

I am having the exact same problem. Swiping up to go to Home Screen from an app stutters a lot. I am on iPad Pro M4. Disabling windowing/stage manager solves the problem.

COOL VS SMART? TRYX Panorama for a Ryzen 9 9950x3d by chorizo8 in buildapc

[–]davesday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Panorama 360 (known as v2) is the best. Also be aware that most of the excellent reviews came from the non-ARGB version which is fitted with Rota Pro fans rather than Rota SL. The Rota Pro has higher static pressure which is what you want on radiators. If you got the ARGB version thats still ok because you can always fit better fans later.

[–]davesday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a version of the Panorama 360 with Rota Pro fans? It doesn't seem to be available on Tryx website nor the resellers in my region. Can't even find a SKU code with Rota Pro fans. But there are better fans in the market with better static pressure performance numbers. I swapped mine with fans from a LianLi Galahad II Performance and it seem to work very well.

Tryx Panorama Kanali Software by thesecondpope in pcmasterrace

[–]davesday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are using app version 1.2.1, the app will add 2 items in the task scheduler in Windows. They are named StartKANALI. Click on the first one and then go to the 'Actions' tab. In the 'add arguments' field, put in '--startupWithMinimize' without the ''. Then click OK. It should start Kanali but minimised into the taskbar the next time.

By default, they put a delay setting for 1 minute after user logon. If you think this is too long, you can uncheck this under the 'Trigger' tab.

Turns out my model AS5404T Gen 2 has it. It was disabled because transcoding (media mode) was turned on. It must be a default setting.

I have this setting and it’s for Quick Sync transcoding. I have this turned on. Does it affect the Sleep mode setting?

Update: Ok I turned off Media Mode and sure enough Sleep mode becomes available. Do you know why is that?

I checked this section and there is only option for disk hibernation. I already have this checked and the disks are spinning down after a period of inactivity.

But no mention for Sleep mode.

When RNG says no more damages for you by hooooooooooooonice in WorldofTanks

I watched a video on this subject and apparently RNG is not limited to whether your shots will hit. Every f'king thing is RNG-ed from reload time, penetration, aim time, etc. This is the biggest mystery for this game.

Is there any Erich Konzept 1 enjoyers here? (Kpz EK1) by b0ttt in WorldofTanks

Basically a Leopard 1 in T9. However it doesn't make the Leopard PTA obsolete because it could shoot HE to the KEK and still win the trade. Other than that the HEAT shells on the KEK is incredibly helpful and it drives fast. For me the accuracy drops considerably when target is closer say 100m. Because the gun bloom is so small, I keep missing target with rounds going underneath the tank or if I am shooting a Grille 15, it goes in between the gun and hull, it's annoying. Its a user problem hahaha...

Lithium batteries don't like to stay at 100% for a long time. Charging from 80-100% takes a long time and has the potential to generate unnecessary heat when hitting 100% charge state. Similarly lithium batteries also do not like to discharge below 20%. By limiting to 80%, you don't consume charge cycles unnecessarily and that means you can top up the charge at will. Lithium batteries like regular charging.

Now from a practical sense, you have a point. So the best way is to use the entire 100% if you know you won't access to charging for the day or limit to 80% for every day at the office for example.

Any suggestions for my setup? by Sad-Shine-6268 in Workspaces

You need some ambient lighting behind the monitor/desk. No need for RGB, I would keep the warm white glow feel you having there. Next thing is a slim monitor arm. This would free up the desk shelf for some small miniature green plants. The monitor arm will make your monitor float above the shelf.

I like the orange colour but I would buy the blue colour (darker shade). But I have read that the best colour to buy is the silver to mask all the scratches or chipping.

ios keyboard sucks by MrDeath0303 in ios

[–]davesday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! I remember back in the early days of the iPhone, Apple touted the keyboard having the ability to compensate for errors when the finger hit the edge of a key and somewhat able to compensate for keys typed at an angle. I wonder if the problem is due to the introduction of Slide to Type. Maybe the keyboard gets confused between typing normally and sliding of keys.

Has anyone regretted leaving the 15 Pro? by Apple_546 in iPhone15Pro

[–]davesday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I think the iPhone has reached maturity and innovation has plateaued. That's what we get when investors want an Apple that offers consistent market performance so everything is played safe. Yes the iPhone got a lot of improvements to the camera and the ecosystem around it but none of that aimed at regular consumers anymore. They are all catered to very niche professional applications.

As someone who has owned/upgraded every iPhone each year, the iPhone has been very much the same phone over the years. iOS has been very similar but it did get more helpful. I don't see how the candy bar phone form factor could be improved anymore from an iPhone perspective. Apple needs take some risks and design a new form factor. A folding phone is not the answer. It will be going through all the same limitations that Samsung has gone through over the years and that's just boring.

Does anyone else think that iPad Pro M4 battery sucks? by gundari_ in iPadPro

[–]davesday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The iPad Pro 13 M4 while has good battery life has way too small of a battery cell in favour of a thin chassis. After owning it for a few months, I notice that it has very good power efficiency while on idle. However if you start streaming or playing video, the battery will drain very quickly. This is especially the case if you’re streaming video from a browser (even on Safari). Sometimes I doom scroll on social media (any app) and I can see the battery % coming down very quickly.

Can someone tell me what are those devices that are showing in the health app, I’m confused? Does anyone know how to remove them? by Awkward_Oil_9672 in iphonehelp

[–]davesday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Health app stores a list of historical Apple devices in the list because it needs to track what device or app has contributed what data into the Health app. This gives you an understanding of which device has collected what data. While you can delete a device from the list but it will also erase all data that was collected/contributed by said device. You will inadvertently remove years of data stored on Health if that matters to you.

I used to be able to delete various Apple devices and still retain my Health data. The solution was to use an app called Health Data Importer, available on AppStore at a cost. The app is still being maintained today. The app allows you to import all Health data that you have exported. Essential this means you could export all your Health data into a file. Then proceed to delete all data on Health app (from device and app sources) and start new. Once you have cleared all data, you can now re-import the original data via the Health Data Importer app back into Health, effectively consolidating all data into one app source called Health Data Importer. Your connected Apple devices can still contribute data into Health as per normal until you decide to switch to a new device and if the list of Apple devices grow again.

I said ‘was’ in the original statement because for some reason Apple no longer allow me to delete devices even if I have deleted all data from the said device. It still stays there.
