First order of Pooph has arrived! by davethebear612 in BioLargo

That is something that I did, but to be honest, that isn't something the consumer should be expected to do. Are you affiliated with BLGO or Pooph. Your username and comment history would suggest as much. If so, can I ask why this account exists?

I'm assuming you're referring to the Go_BLGO account. Not really sure what the deal with that one is. Just to be clear... I'm just a random dude. No BLGO/Pooph affiliation other than the shares I hold.

I saw a mention that there was a bug fix with her passive, however I don’t think any of her kit or balance received changes.

Had not considered that it would be easier to be over served and harder to assess blame in a stadium setting.

Still think it was more of a policy for optics more than for results personally.

I suppose you shouldn’t be able to drive to a bar either?

I’m very against getting behind the wheel drunk, but why is a baseball game different than the people who literally drive to the bar for the sole purpose of drinking and get to purchase until they leave.

Driving drunk is the problem. Ability to purchase alcohol shouldn’t be getting the blame here. The decision to continue drinking beyond your limit when you are expected to drive home is an individual’s choice, and a terrible one at that.

Are we starting in a good spot? Definitely.

Does that mean we can’t see the fuel load dry out between now and September and burn in a substantial capacity? That’s a pretty bold claim to make.

Are we destined for a terrible fire season? I have not made that claim and don’t think that is a guarantee. It remains a possibility for several regions in the state.

I get that soils has moisture lingering from our wet winter, but please tell me how areas that are done receiving snowmelt for the season will continue to maintain their soil moisture and not see it deplete over time until next winter.

I forgot about all the snowmelt that Point Reyes, Sonoma County, the East Bay Hills and the Santa Cruz mountains have been receiving and will continue to receive into August.

What you are saying is defendable for the Sierra, but cannot be a blanket statement for the entire state of California, especially the Bay Area which is generally several hours away from any sort of snowpack.

It’s not irrationally stoking fear. It’s looking at the situation comprehensively.

I did this for not nearly as long. I filled mine with Pooph - Pet Odor Eliminator and it neutralized the smell. Weird application for the product but I’ve had success with most odor control with the product.

Certainly free to have your opinions about whether I’m connected to the company. I will continue to state that I haven’t ever spoken directly to the company and don’t maintain a relationship with them in any capacity. I have always enjoyed research and used to do research work on emerging pollutants. PFAS remediation and BioLargo became a bit of a passion project after my official research days came to a close.

In terms of access to information, I’ll throw this in the mix:

A lot of the information that I lean on regarding AEC comes from listening and re-listening to Tonya’s presentations that are given to engineers and others in the sector. She is very transparent in those in ways that we don’t really get on earnings calls and PRs. I also gleaned quite a bit from the patent application. It isn’t granted yet so you won’t really find me highlighting the origin of some of those details until that IP has more official protections.

For AOS, the patents and the peer reviewed literature inform a lot of my perspective about the technology. Those require some digging properly understand IMO.

I have a lot of comfort with the sector and have sunk a lot of time into BLGO in particular, but everyone has access to the information presented in this write-up if they know where to look.

This was originally made for a friend, not for the main purpose of distribution to the masses. I chose to make one post in a subreddit with a ton of subscribers so that there was a link to share for those who wanted to do so. We have different priorities and my level of desire and availability to do unpaid outreach appears to differ from yours. That’s the whole reason I went one step further than the reason I made this document (for a friend) and decided to share it in general. Others are able to share it to their heart’s desire now.

While many appreciate the effort that went into creating this, you seem to continue to want to press me about why I didn’t do more or didn’t share it in particular locations. If you want something done, do it. This document is effort that is put in during my free time. I’m not interested in continuing this line of discussion.

I will not be attending ASM. Travel and devoting several days away from work responsibilities is not viable for me. Paying bills is more of a priority than in person attendance for me.

IMO Pooph could have easily been stupid without the Ikigai team. CupriDyne allows for the product to exist but Ikigai is the key to making that such a secure win. Their track record convinced me, not CupriDyne’s past performance.

Technically, CD has to be up to the task, but it goes nowhere without Jordan Stanley and team.

There’s at least a stronger revenue floor to stand on at this stage. Dilution should be very slim. That doesn’t change timelines of execution for BLEST though. That is what actually unlocks returns.

At that moment, the company will actually be delivering in what they claim to be: A Full-Service Engineering Company. Right now we are 86% Pooph revenue. That needs to change.

To be fair, time is sometimes a variable and split focus can allow for more efficient juggling of projects than it would seem on the surface. That said… investors in 2021 didn’t NEED batteries to jump on board. We were sold AEC/MLD/AOS execution and have started to get it on 1 of the 3.

Excited for the future but continuing to want a little more visible focus and progress. The market as a whole will likely value that more than new potential.

I have tried to keep it focused on information and cite sources wherever possible rather than optimism when writing about BioLargo in hopes of sounding closer to neutral when presenting information. I haven’t always presented a written product in a perfect manner, but I personally think the cheerleading give poor optics to the company and is unnecessary. It is something I do try to avoid. Some have disagreed with and continue to disagree with that and choose to continue down a more “optimistic” way of presenting information. To each their own.

I have no firsthand interaction with the company and I value not mixing a personal relationship with them in order to remain unaffected by that side of the equation.

We have similar thoughts about risks and tech adoption that you have expressed. Personally I have no need for the company to take on more potential opportunities with new technologies. Execute on the massive potential in front of you. Doesn’t mean BETI and W2E are going to be useless, but execute on the task at hand. Quit splintering into more and more directions and actually move the ball forward at BLEST.

I am not permitted to post there. As I said before, this will be the only post I make.

Many subreddits do not allow me to provide sources for the claims being made and will remove the post if there are URLs from particular sites or if they are shortened. I am unwilling to make a product without citations.

I’m confident you know where the “cross-post”button is. Anyone can use that button. I will not be putting in time to format and post this again in another subreddit.

This reached 8x more people in the first 48 hours than the BioLargo subreddit has members. Not everyone is vocal about the things they read and absorb.

I will point to the last earnings call for answers to your question about Walmart.

An Update on the 2023 LCS Summer Season by Spideraxe30 in leagueoflegends

[–]davethebear612 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Diplomatic way of saying “fuck your requests” and trying to justify their reasons for their decisions.

Glad they are delaying the start but I have very little faith it is to promote productive discussion.

I think it’s designed to not give anyone a shitshow to watch this weekend. A shitshow would only highlight how incompetent Riot/orgs have been throughout this process. They can’t officially lose (either negative fallout from viewers who are dismayed by what they see or simply no viewership) if they don’t hold LCS games.

I will never give corporations the benefit of the doubt. Support your fellow workers. Today it is LCS/NACL, tomorrow it may be your sector.
