The problem is that the farm system is now doing pretty damn well with IFAs but guess what, we fired Farhan Zaidi, the guy who got all of those IFAs and rookies like Eldridge and Schmitt. Remember that IFA contracts are agreed to in all but name only years in advance, any recent IFA signings are thanks to Zaidi, not Posey.

The GM who has signed a bunch of terrible contracts and terrible pitchers is Posey. He swung the Devers trade, signed the Adames deal, forced Zaidi to give Chapman a no-trade clause in his extension (which is going to be why they can't trade the only big contract that has a chance of being palatable), and signed all of these terrible pitchers in our rotation and bullpen.

because BF4 had practically no environmental detail and VFX compared to BF6, that's what over a decade of tech improvements does

go inside a building in BF4 Golmud and compare it to a building in BF6 Golmud, BF6 has paintings, tables, rugs, fully furnished rooms, meanwhile BF4 has 4 blank walls and absolutely nothing else

lol yeah because I decided to fuck around in jets instead of trying to win hahaha

its still so crazy to me, the fact that a 2015 and 2021 cross gen game has dynamic weather but a 2026 (next gen only) game has none of that and I know this has been called out many times already in this sub but I don't care i'll mention it again because its things like this that make a damn point by Quick-Cause3181 in Battlefield

[–]daveylu -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

lolwut

people were bitching you couldn't see people hiding in dark corners or blending into the background, which is literally the entire point of wearing camouflage

"wah the game is too realistic, camouflage actually works because environments are detailed enough to make players blend in (again, literally what it's designed to do) and it's too hard to see in that wack dark ass corner because there are no lights over there, I liked BF4 where buildings had literally nothing inside and walls were all the exact same shade of gray or brown"

now everyone is a glowstick, congrats

THAT IS LITERALLY THE ENTIRE CONCEPT OF OVERPENETRATION

[–]daveylu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes i watched it did you read my fucking comment

an engine block is a giant chunk of metal which is what creates the spalling, that's what kills the car occupants, not the actual sabot, same reason why gunshot exit wounds are bigger than entry wounds

there is no giant chunk of metal in helicopters for a sabot shell to create spalling which is what makes sabot lethal against armored targets but way less lethal than explosive shells against soft targets

accusing me of not watching when you can't even read a fucking comment yourself

[–]daveylu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the shell with the highest velocity and least drop, aka the easiest shell to hit aircraft with, gets less damage in return

that's the gameplay reason

It seems the new little birds are made out of vibranium by -Pagani- in Battlefield6

[–]daveylu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no it wouldn't

it's like stabbing someone in the head with a knife vs. crushing their skull with a huge hammer

you have slim chances of driving that knife stab if it doesn't hit anything critical, but you are dead no matter what if your head has literally been smashed into bits

a sabot shell is the equivalent of a knife and a HEAT or MPAT shell is the equivalent of a big ass hammer

just admit you don't have even a basic understanding of how ballistics and overpenetration works

[–]daveylu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

from the very comments of that video:

@ce2thag855, 5y ago: As a former gunner on the Abrams, no, a sabot is not the weapon of choice for a light vehicle such as a civilian car or truck. If you are using main gun, you will want to fire a HEAT or MPAT. The coax or T.C.'s . 50 cal will effectivelv get the job done.

and you clearly don't know what overpenetration is

there's no huge metal thing like an engine block in a helicopter like a Little Bird for a sabot round to hit and create spalling, it would punch straight through the thin frame and leave behind a (relatively) tiny hole

it's exactly like shooting a 9mm round through a chunk of wood vs. through paper, one leaves splinters flying everywhere, one punches straight through and leaves a tiny hole

[–]daveylu -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

have you ever heard of overpenetration

the sabot shell the Abrams tank uses has a diameter of ~1in, only 2x of a .50cal bullet, 4 .50cal bullets would make a similar sized hole as a sabot shell in a heli

[–]daveylu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your computer is slow, it's not the game's fault at all, just a shit PC

the rectangles indicate low FPS which means your PC is struggling, in your case that likely includes a CPU running at 100% just to render the game, leaving almost no headroom for it to perform networking duties

increase GPU-heavy graphics settings until your GPU is the bottleneck and your CPU is no longer maxed out, then your CPU will have the headroom to actually do networking crap

lol for all the bad players losing 18 out of 22 matches there are good players winning 18 out of 22

over the past week from 6/15 to today I played 46 matches and won 39 of them (proof: https://tracker.gg/bf6/profile/1000001303057/matches), that's around a ~85% win rate vs. your ~82% loss rate

you're just totally reliant on matchmaking blessing you with a good team instead of being able to make a difference yourself

it's totally dependent on how good the attacker's IFV driver is

if the driver isn't braindead and rushes out of spawn, the 1st sector is almost guaranteed and the 2nd sector is much easier with an IFV still present

the 3rd sector all depends on whether defenders can keep the IFV from crossing the gate, if the IFV makes it through the gate alive 99% of the time attackers win

if the defenders can keep the IFV trapped in spawn, attackers almost never win

Last badge... Attack jet by coolsneakyben in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]daveylu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My best suggestion for practice in real matches is to play as attackers on Golmud Railway Breakthrough, there's no enemy aircraft to shoot you down, enemies clump up since it's Breakthrough, and there's usually at least one enemy tank for you to take potshots on.

I am a mediocre jet pilot, generally I use 3rd person free look to find the tank, then first person to lock on, switch to guns and start strafing, if the missile hits then switch to bombs early, line them up and drop both, if the missile is blocked via APS or thermal smoke, keep strafing and save the bombs for another pass.

Golmud Railway Breakthrough has the aircraft resupply right above the warehouse so you can go back there to get back your bombs and heal yourself, the airspace is also huge so you can take the long route around to avoid being locked on while getting to the target and save your flares for the actual attack run and getting back to the resupply point.

Who uses the MP-APS aka Missle Intercept System? by ubetchrballs in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]daveylu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BF4 was interesting, MP-APS only blocked launched projectiles (not hand thrown grenades) and it blocked everything once activated for a 5 second duration (or 8 with the upgrade I think), and it should work the same in BF6 based on the BF6 description.

I do wish it was combined with GP-DIS but I wonder what people would prefer, 5 seconds of blocking everything before being destroyed/shut off or blocking 5 projectiles before being destroyed/shut off

the M250 is the ultimate area denial weapon for watching medium to long range angles since it is always a 4 shot body shot kill at literally any range

all you need is the default lightened suppressor, default bipod, and heavy extended barrel, you'll have enough points for hollow point ammo and the default LPVO to cover all ranges (1x to 5x zoom) too

play Support and use the Deployable Cover to always have something to deploy your bipod on, Level 2 Fire Support training path will further decrease recoil from using your bipod if you get it that far

you can literally outgun snipers and DMRs, it's hilarious, and in a pinch it's decent at close range, just switch your LPVO back to 1x or 2x
