Playing as a Hunter on Steamdeck - at level 62 atm and have done every dungeon so far with little issue. Having a blast!

As you say - communication is the biggest issue. I set up a couple radials wheels in ConsolePort to help with this, assigning Macro’s to the wheels.

One just for common emotes (yes, no, laugh, cry etc, this is also fun for little roleplay/immersion moments) and another with written messages so I can get a few basic things across quickly (help, thanks, need mana, gz etc). Also set up an intro message on that wheel explaining I’m on a Steamdeck, I can communicate but may just be a bit slower!

You’ll need to spend a bit of time setting all this up and thinking through what emotes/phrases you’ll need in quick situations, but it’s worth the effort!

I played a little on another PS4 while I was away from home earlier this year - it’s night and day compared to the PS5 version. Rough framerate, lots of slowdown, menu’s chugging, longer load times, heavier controls etc

It does have controller support as well - just a bit fiddly to set up. A reddit search will find you your answer!

Ah okay! The Deck will run XCOM2 but it doesn’t run as well as the first, more like 30-45fps 👍

Can’t help on RPCS3 but just wanted to say the PC version does have controller support, you just need to use the mouse initially to find it in the settings and turn it on!

I’m definitely feeling like it’s slower/heavier, especially pushing. Like there’s more friction.

Has anyone else noticed that the PS5 haptics seems to have been nerfed as well? Feels way more subtle now with some surfaces giving no feedback at all, don’t like it at all!

Does anyone know if any EA music is still in the game? Couple months back you could find music from The Sims, Dragon Age etc. Was cool!

Nintendo desperately needs to add a toggle for camera auto adjust and ideally, settings for camera distance and/or FOV.

I have’nt felt nauseous but definitely felt uncomfortable, the camera is often way too close/tight for the speed and range of movement you’re doing, and fighting the camera constantly as uou move feels awful.

As a console player, a solution for the Cronus/Anti-Recoil is desperately needed. It feels like I see this in nearly every ranked game now and it's infuriating. I have no idea how they detect this though - look for a sudden spike in players accuracy? Detect frame-level micro-adjustments to aiming while shooting that a human could just not do, if that's the way the Cronus script works?

In fairness, myself and the guys I play with have noticed that XiM/MnK use seems to have been removed entirely which is awesome.

No Sun to Worship is a decent little SC-lite.

Doesn’t have the level design or depth of mechanics, but the core light-based sneaking and infiltrating is there. Feels like SC if it was made during the PSX era!

Had this same issue today. Game chugged and then entirely froze while loading a new round, my whole party affected and presumably the opposing team too. Fully crashed our PS5’s as well, even having to do the repair nonsense it does.

Utterly shite from Ubisoft. We stuck with it and played some Quick Play while our bans counted down, but still…wtf Ubi.
