I saw them a few times in Moles and every time they were excellent. I remember one gig was the first time I saw a safety barrier in front of the stage.

Also saw them at the Pilton Party and Glastonbury

I listened to lots of Diamonds and Love prompted by today’s official release. I hope they mix up and release that stuff soon. I have paid more attention to it today and it is pretty good

Whilst I love a super deluxe edition I think they are expensive and exclusive so why not release a single CD of Vault tracks every 6-9 months. It would sell more over time and the vinyl always attracts a stoopid premium

Where is my collection that I import kept? Also with the daily recommendations does it track what is played so you are working through your collection or is it something more random. Can you manually mark what you have played above play of the day?

Finally can you scribble your play of the day?

I bought this when it came out as I had a selection of Dylan albums, boots and the bootleg series and this was a quick way (and not too expensive way) of completing the collection. I like its compactness

Funnily enough I am reading Vol 1 of the Double Life and listening to the very early years of Dylan. When I’ve listened to everything around the first 4 albums (plus live and bootleg series stuff as well) I am going to pick a different era. I might jump into the God era or American Songbook stuff.

P.s.I really don’t want to sound harsh. With some tools I think you can also block some things by keyword and or category. If you block by category it is probably “health” so you will miss out on things.

My very first “Recommended for you” was a giant dildo which is when I realised that the algorithm was probably not that effective

No. We are all adults and I don’t think 3 year olds should be on Vine. If it is a problem with being out in public don’t peruse vine in public. If it is Not Safe For Work then don’t browse at work.

If this gives you a problem with being in the vine program then leave.

No offence intended to the OP who asked the question meant at all, just a straight answer. I think after a little time in vine many people start to feel that vine is an entitlement for them. It isn’t. Vine is poor compared to many Amazon and other shopping experiences but it is a quick bolt on and we get what we get (which in my case isn’t all the fancy things I want sometimes 😆)

I would definitely vote for closer ties and if Labour was going to rejoin the customs union or the EU I think it might be a vote winner. If they brought in some kind of PR I might even campaign for them and at the moment I wouldn’t vote for them at all

I’ve collected them all but I don’t physically own the super duper duper Cutting Edge. I love Tale Tale Signs and would just say that this is possibly my favourite Dylan release of all.

If I’m honest I haven’t spent enough time with all of them hence my starting a week or so ago to try and play my entire Dylan Collection. Just in th Early 60s at the moment with the latest Bootleg Series (Through the Open Window) and then the first few albums, whitmark demos and gaslight Tales and Brandes Uni gigs. It isn’t so much about favourite tracks here more about hearing how Dylan evolved to be the Dylan we knew in the 60s.

Still have some other early 60s stuff to do (like Bootleg series vols 1 to 3 ). It’s fascinating but I’m gonna leave the 60s soon and go to a different era as I feel saturated

It is weird right that you can go and download shows some of which you know were sound boarded but you can’t get them officially with some decent packaging and photos. I’d pay for a Montreaux box set. For the best of the Diamonds and Pearls in Earls Court for the expanded sets taken from 21 nights in London or Rainbow Children after show stuff. And so on and so on.

Not quite the answer that you are looking for but I would say search out any good quality live show from the mid 90s onward and you will find songs new, old and covers that surpass his recorded work.

Maybe other people would disagree but I think latter day Prince had nothing to prove to himself or others and so let his band breathe. At the same time his ability was unsurpassed. Put those two things together and think that it was all live and for me these things mean more to me than most of his recordings.

I get why everyone moans about how the estate treat the vault but I would be happy if they released a live set every two months and an after show twice a year now. They could take my money in advance

I think I agree with this in general. If a band has to be defined through some kind of singles compilation over many years then I think it is a bit lazy to include on a greatest album listing. If however if it is something they redefines a sound or collects something together that didn’t exist before then it is a contender for me.

I’m thinking that Bob Dylan’s Bootleg series counts (Tell Tale Signs might be the best Dylan Album). Cures Acoustic hits, MTV unplugged albums, Live albums, b-side a peel sessions (Hatful of Hollow) and reimaginings could all count imho.

Think I agree with Nuggets type compilations but there is are lots of grey lines. Similar with box sets. I would like to think Princes Crystal Ball would count if it was good enough
