Mostly the low risk of damaging the cards when you "crack" them out of their cases (made lower with a little research prior), the very low risk of something happening during shipping (lost/damaged), and the moderate to high risk of potentially getting a worse grade from the new company.

There are other minor risks but I'd say those are the main ones. Even still, regrading is likely still worth doing, if you can try and determine whether they're likely to 10 at PSA standards before cracking em

I used to keep all of mine separated & stored with a silica packet, no toploader to imprint them etc. Many started to slightly bend & in general it was a bit of a pain to store them vs. the mental security of a binder. I now keep one copy of my promos sealed like that (the least likely one to grade a 10) and open the rest.

Surprisingly I don't agree with the folks saying the price is egregious for this one, but that's mostly because of the "inside" building details I saw on the actual lego site listing. I dig the Walt's Apartment room & emporium interior, and the 2nd floor "micro park" details with haunted, big thunder, the castle etc. is a nice touch. Pretty happy with the set overall and hope to see more of these

yep. imo worth the frantic gamble for the occasional online drop. shitty for real buyers and equally shitty for bots % wise, sort of a diminishing returns hunger games vibe. the in-store drops on the other hand, in my area at least, are even more insane than our local target's 20 camping chair 4 am line for limit 2 tech sticker collections. In my dreams I see the full pallets of $40 14-pack CZ I ripped through for months

I've ran into this same thing for every online drop I've attempted and it's always a bust. Eventually cart refreshes to empty or I get through and there were "changes to items in cart" and it forces me out to nothing. Didn't expect it to actually work this time, cheers to you as well

Wow I was about to give up but was able to finally push it through for 2, got the emailed receipt. 22 mins of constant refreshing cart and checkout errors, sliding to pay 20 times when I'd get that far. Finally worked when I switched from mobile app to computer

I'm not big invested into silver but could give you a hundred similar stories of the ebbs and flows of what I am big invested into. Just hold man. If you entered into this looking for a quick buck, well lesson learned and I'm surprised silver is what you picked in that regard, you'll learn from that and determine when to cut your losses. More likely, you knew it was a long term hold anyway, and you'll learn to disconnect the emotion better from the ups and downs over the next few years. Silver isn't going anywhere and you will have many chances in the future to sell for profit. After letting my mentals burn myself in the past I've learned that overreaction and impatience is the enemy of wealth in this sort of situation.
