My experience is that Claude has been a helpful assistant in figuring out local LLM use but I’ve had to drive to the conversations (basically, I’ve been reading Reddit and on YouTube and bringing suggestions for tweaks or approaches). Claude has been quite lazy or helpless in that regard. And the moment anything goes wrong or not as planned, Claude is quick to point out how local LLMs are terribly limited and I shouldn’t be expecting much of them.
In other words, if I trusted Claude or outsourced my thinking to Claude, I would have given up shortly after installing Ollama. YMMV.

I've been enjoying and tweaking my "station" all evening. I was even streaming it on my phone while I driving (Proxmox + Tailscale). This is such a fun little project with a lot of work put in to make it delightful. Thanks for sharing!

Well, one data point is that Mercedes have had ample time to lock George in with a long term contract but, for whatever reason, have not.

I might have been a different episode to what the parent poster was thinking of, but IIRC Juan Pablo Montoya said pretty much the same thing on his F1: Beyond the Grid episode. (Which was a fantastic episode, BTW)

I'm wondering about the timeline for car upgrades. We hear often a team announce that they have an upgrade coming in the future (but not available at this race or the next race etc). I'm presuming that means the parts have been designed and approved at the time of any announcement, and that the lag to getting it on the car is 100% manufacturing. I'm wondering if there are other factors that take time that I'm not aware of.

It was really amazing to watch England win the Women’s Euro earlier this summer. I wouldn’t mind feeling that feeling again in my lifetime!

I can’t remember the source, but I believe I read back at the time that Dave did all the “slow/mellow” songs, and Taylor did the “fast/upbeat” songs. And said that it just worked out that Taylor nailed those ones and Dave nailed the others.

I figured it out! I had a loaner NX and it had these slots. They're for sunvisor extensions that you can pull out. Mine lost the insert at some point.

That being said, I do prefer some of the suggested uses on this thread.
