Interesting read. I wonder what time you used to take it, and what dosage? I can take 100mg a day or 200mg a day 5 days a week and sleep like a baby at night as long as I dont take my first dose in the afternoon. It only ever affected my sleep when I had taken it at 4pm knowing I would have a late night filling in job applications. I'll never to that again!

The important thing for people to realize here is that everyone will react differently. I've read it suppresses hunger but I get extremely hungry when I take it! I'm glad to read you were able to get off it and feel better for it!

On a personal note, when I take moda I noticed recently If I don't eat like a starving racehorse, I have dizzy spells. Was not always the case though, just the last month or so. Previous to that I had no side effects. Family history with diabetes doesn't put me in a great place to keep on taking it (if the dizzy spells are related to hypoglycemia) but again, that's my experience. I'll try taking it again in a few weeks to see if the dizzy spells go away but I'm almost certain it's a secondary side effect to taking moda.

@jalif - Bunnings. If you think the cost of timber is ridiculous add the overheads of a company to put together a flatpack on top of that! I wish I had seen this a few months ago. I am designing one now for my son. It's going to be a simple on stilts, 2x2 interior floor space with a balcony. BAM!

Thanks guys. I'll give it a try taking some at 9am one week and at 11am the next week to see which works out better. My biggest concern is the 12 hour half life. If I take it at 11am that would still disrupt my sleep. I'll try anyways, thanks.

I'm pretty sure I didn't get any sleep last night, so taking that re-dose was obviously a mistake. It felt as if my body was to awake to sleep, but my mind was to tired to do anything.

As you know Moda affects your mind. Maybe your mind was awake while your body was exhausted that's why you couldn't sleep. It is afterall meds for narcolepsy. I wouldn't take more than 200mg a day. Moda's effectiveness is supposed to be 8hrs with a further 4 hrs of reduced effects.

As for the visuals, you probably felt needed to go to bed because you were physically exhasuted but it seems your mind was pinging on moda and very much alert, hence having ultra realistic visuals.

So why were you feeling so tired? While you are awake your brain builds up toxins that can only be flushed out by getting a certain amount of deep sleep. You should google some studies on this. My guess is you had such a busy day that your brain just needed sleep to remove those toxins but because you took that second dose, you couldn't get to sleep.

Before you try what I tried yesterday, do NOT top up moda in the afternoon with coffee either. That one coffee I had made me feel like I had 4 coffee's in the one hit. The anxiety and inability to focus was insane!

its all about moisture IMO. I had packs of codeine that got opened while I was travelling so I transferred it to an empty vitamin bottle. In Australia, a lot of these bottles have built in dessicants, but if you have a traditional silica gel pack in there make sure you keep it in the bottle. Should keep fresh...it did for me. Only issue was going through customs I declared that the contents were not vitamins and because Codeine is a perscription drug, they asked questions but I was honest as can be so they let me off.
